Entropy generation in bioconvection two-dimensional steady incompressible non-Newtonian Oldroyd-B nanofluid with Cattaneo–Christov heat and mass flux theory is investigated. The Darcy–Forchheimer law is used to study heat and mass transfer flow and microorganisms motion in porous media. Using appropriate similarity variables, the partial differential equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations which are then solved by homotopy analysis method. For an insight into the problem, the effects of various parameters on different profiles are shown in different graphs.

In this work, the Bogoyavlenskii system (BS) and fractal BS are investigated by variational method for the first time. An efficient and simple scheme is proposed to seek their exact solitary wave solutions, which is called variational analysis method. The novel scheme requires only two steps, making it much attractive in practical applications, and a good result is obtained. This paper cleans up the road to the exact solitions, and it sheds a new light on the soliton theory. Finally, the physical properties of solitary wave solutions obtained are analyzed by some simulation figures.

A great deal of published literature exists which analyzes the free vibrations of turbomachinery blades by means of one-dimensional beam theories. Recently, a more accurate, two-dimensional analysis method has been developed based upon shallow shell theory. The present paper summarizes the two types of theories and makes quantitative comparisons of frequencies obtained by them. Numerical results are presented for cambered and/or twisted blades of uniform thickness. Significant differences between the theories are found to occur, especially for low aspect ratio blades. The causes of these differences are discussed.

The existence of noises have great interference on image processing, so the elimination of image noise is of great importance. In this paper, based on the digital image processing, the methods of average filter, wiener filter, median filter, two-dimensional wavelet filter, maximum and minimum filter are used to eliminate the salt & pepper noise of image. Then we analysis and compare the results of the five methods to find the best way to eliminate the image noise.
