The atmosphere of the space can be formed visually through its interior design elements. In this study shows how the role of interior design elements is applied to the public waiting room in CIP Mandiri Priority Lounge Kualanamu conducted to determine the atmosphere of the atmosphere that forms the image of corporate lounge image.The existence of a space formed through the physical elements of interior design consisting of horizontal and vertical elements. This basic element is present along with the color, light, texture and pattern of the field which will affect the perception of visual weight, proportion and dimensions. Other non-physical elements of a space are socio-cultural elements carried by other people and the environment can affect interactions in the form of non-physical elements of a space.The physical and non-physical elements work together to create the atmosphere of a space that has characteristics that are able to build a space image.This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis approach. Data collection techniques through survey studies.  From the analysis of the data it was found that the role of the interior design elements forming the space greatly influences the atmosphere of the public lounge CIP lounge in accordance with the image of identity of a lounge. The character of the atmosphere formed is linked and assessed for its suitability to the style, function of the area in the Airport CIP Lounge

Previous research has mainly focused on the determinants of consumers’ complaint channel choices. Little attention has been paid to the behavioral consequences of different complaint channels, particularly different complaint devices. Drawing on spatial crowding perception theory, this study finds that in an online complaint context, consumers’ complaint intensity is shaped by complaint devices that differ in screen size. Crowding perception produced by visually restrictive tension mediates the relationship between the screen size of the complaint device and the complaint intensity. The results of secondary data confirm that consumers’ complaint intensity is higher while complaining through a small-screen device (as opposed to a large-screen one). Three scenario-based experiments are conducted to examine the role of perceived spatial crowding in producing a more intense complaint behavior when complaints are submitted through smaller screen devices (as opposed to larger screen devices). The fourth experiment reveals that crowding perception can be lessened by adjusting certain design elements of the interface, ultimately mitigating the intensity of the complaint submitted through a small-screen device. Our research identifies the specific causality and underlying mechanism of the influence of device type on consumers’ postconsumption behavior, thus contributing to clarify some ambiguities in the literature.

The objective of this study was to develop a product evaluation method applicable to virtual prototypes and to apply the method to automobile interior design. Considering that virtual reality-based product prototypes could represent design alternatives comparable to physical prototypes, prototypes developed in virtual reality environments were employed as design alternatives. After a procedure to evaluate virtual prototypes was developed specifically for a virtual reality environment, the procedure was applied to the problem of automobile interior design. 34 subjects evaluated 32 different virtual prototypes generated from the combination of design element variations. Four categories of subjective impression were used to evaluate the 32 virtual prototypes: luxuriousness, comfort, harmoniousness, and controllability. ANOVA and multiple linear regression analysis were performed to specify design elements critical to customer preference and to interpret the relationship between design elements and subjective impressions. As the result, the shapes of frontal area including crash pad and center fascia, door trim and steering wheel were selected as important variables related to subjective impressions. The proposed evaluation method for virtual prototypes could be utilized as an alternative way of identifying the relationship between subjective impressions and design elements.

Traditional banks and financial institutions have witnessed a profound transformation to electronic banking with the rise of the internet over the last two decades. However, most digital banking customers do not feel that the activity of managing their money and making online transactions is exciting or enjoyable. The gamification of e-banking systems is a novel approach for promoting customer engagement that is gaining popularity. This work reviews the factors influencing the adoption of e-banking and how gamification can be used to improve customer engagement, loyalty, and financial wellbeing. An exploration of the most extensively used game design elements in gamified e-banking applications suggests that the use of certain game mechanics and characteristics can be effective in creating enjoyable banking experiences. Based on this research, a set of guidelines is provided for designers and practitioners for introducing game principles in e-banking applications.

Empathy definitions do not adequately reflect the realities of empathy in the context of interior design for the elderly or disabled. This mixed research methods study explored the role that empathy as a design learning tool may have on the design process and learning experiences of interior design students, whom ultimately will design spaces for the elderly and disabled. To explore the use of empathy as a learning tool prior to commencing a renovation design project for three disabled farmers and their families in the southeast area of the United States, interior design students participated in class exercises that simulated various physical disabilities. After completing the exercises students reported high levels of emphatic concern for physically disabled older adults that made them more in tuned with the program needs of their clients, the farmers. Additionally, the students acknowledged that they had gained a greater understanding of inclusive design, whereby all end users of spaces regardless of physical and mental capabilities are to be considered when designing interior environments. Lastly, students enhanced their problem-solving skills by gaining insights into the importance of considering all details in design, ranging from the addition of coat hooks to door hardware selection and floor finish materials to furniture placements. This study is significant because two of the fastest growing sectors for interior design is healthcare and aging in place.

The city of Cairo - since the beginning of the third millennium - has witnessed a constructional expansion of new cities for people of class A to live within gated communities, which provide luxury and safety. This research aims to identify the tangible and intangible needs from the occupants’ and the interior designer’s perspective, due to the diversity of these needs. Posters for cinematic festivals are an effective visual artistic way to address recipients (the audience), with their functional, aesthetic and expressive dimensions that contribute to spreading a variety of cultural awareness, especially those posters that specialize in their media and advertising performance, promotional and organizational, and cultural activities specified at certain time. Based on the foregoing, the researchers found that her research problem is summarized by the following question: What are the design structure variables in the designs of the film festival posters? The research consisted of four chapters as follows: The first chapter includes the research problem and the goal of the research, which is studying the variables of the design structure in the international film festival posters. As for its importance (theoretical importance / practical importance), the research limits (objective / spatial / temporal) and also include the most important terms. The second chapter includes the theoretical framework that the researcher divide into two topics, the first topic includes (the structure in the poster). As for the second topic (the variables in the poster structure) as well as previous studies and the most important indicators reached by the researcher, the third chapter includes research procedures that includes determining the method followed in analyzing samples for their scientific relevance in diagnosing the researched phenomenon, and the research community and the adult (6), and selecting a sample The research number (3) models after repeated exclusion from them, then the research tool, honesty and consistency. As for the fourth chapter, it includes the results of the research, conclusions, recommendations, and proposals, and the most important findings of the researcher were as follows: 1. The employment of the idea resulted in a fundamental variable in the structure of the poster, as the ideas differ according to the subject presented, in addition to the different idea from one designer to another. This is due to its frame of reference, which has a major impact in building the innovative idea that contributes to the presentation of the content. 2. Modern technologies have achieved the emergence of effective results in the design structure as an output variable that enhances the effectiveness of communication channels, and that this action has influential characteristics that have the ability to attract attention and direct impact on the recipient through the various technical treatments that the designer performs in constructing the poster and activating the role of technology in the structural display of the poster design elements. Either conclusion includes: 1. Structure variables are mainly related to the content of the design idea with the suitability of use, which is based on variable technical stylistic data.
