The looseness of tires or even falling off from cars will lead to serious traffic accidents. Once it occurs, it will bring casualties and huge economic losses to society, seriously affecting the traffic safety. To mitigate such possible safety concerns, an early loosening warning system is developed in this article. The system consists of the tire monitoring module and the working control module. The tire monitoring module is installed on the tire and is designed with no power supply. The control module is installed in the vehicle body. Signal transmission between the two modules is achieved through wireless radio frequency. In the driving, once the tire is loosened, the monitoring device will send out the alarm signal automatically and wirelessly. After the driver gets the alarm signal, he can immediately perform the emergency processing, parking, and inspection, which can avoid traffic accidents caused by it. This article introduces the detailed structure, working principle, and operation process of the system. This early warning system has simple structure, high reliability, and is easy to use. It can be used in the common working environment of automobiles. Meanwhile, it is also the foundation of intelligent connected vehicle.

Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) are ubiquitous metabolites in all aerobic organisms. Traditionally ROS have been considered as harmful, accidental byproducts of cellular functions involving electron transport chains or electron transfer. However, it is now recognized that controlled production of ROS has significant signaling functions, for example, in pathogen defense, in the regulation of stomatal closure, or in cell-to-cell signaling. ROS formation in subcellular compartments is critical to act as “alarm” signal in the response to stress, and the concept of ROS as primarily signaling substances has emerged. The involvement of ROS in several developmental and inducible processes implies that there must be coordinated function of signaling network(s) that govern ROS responses and subsequent processes. The air pollutant ozone can be used as a useful tool to elucidate the function of apoplastic ROS: O3 degrades in cell wall into various ROS which are interpreted as ROS with signaling function inducing downstream responses. We have used ozone as a tool in mutant screens and transcript profiling-reverse genetics to identify genes involved in processes related to the signaling function of ROS. We review here our recent findings in the elucidation of apoplastic ROS sensing, signaling, and interaction with various symplastic components.

In this paper, we proposed a mobile security system based on IP camera network video surveillance by improving the traditional monitoring methods. This system includes three parts: Android mobile client, cloud server, IP camera monitoring terminals. By setting IP cameras at 24 fps but only sending one frame each second, we can infer the situation by analyzing of the single image and reduce the amount of data transmission. User can check the live scenes and send control commands to monitoring terminal or receive the push information from the server to freely give alarm signal to users anytime, anywhere. And users can also select any regions or any specific objects to monitor, the server will real-time monitor each scene according to the specific requirements by using the algorithms of image contrast and depth estimation. The experiment results show that the system can greatly improve the accuracy of the alarm.

One CNG remote intelligent monitoring system is designed and realized in this article. The monitoring system can receive real time monitoring information and monitor environment of CNG filling station by using GSM short message platform , terminal PC and cell phone based on ARM microprocessor, PTM100GSM module, pressure and temperature detection system, when the pressure, temperature or consistence of gas storage well is over the threshold , the monitoring system will send the alarm signal. Its proved that the monitoring system works stably and reliably and can effectively monitor fatal public danger signal.

Security has been and will probably be one of the basic human needs that we work on every day. Some of the popular options nowadays is the use of modern technologies in security, which is increasingly popular with alarm systems. Mostly alarm systems are electrical security systems, which in many cases can be supplemented by various additional functions according to the owner's requirements. More often, they are also able to connect a secured object to a centralized protection center so that the owner has the possibility of verifying a declared alarm signal through the intervention of the alarm system company operator. This article is aimed at transmitting the indicated alarm signal over a radio network to the centralized protection desk located in the monitoring and alarm receiving center with identification of the most appropriate option.

For an alarm signal to evolve, the benefits to the signaler must outweigh the costs of sending the signal. Research has largely focused on the benefits of alarm signaling, and the costs to an organism of sending an alarm signal are not well known. When attacked by a predator, aphids secrete cornicle droplets, containing an alarm pheromone, for individual protection and to warn clonemates. As aphid alarm pheromone is synthesized de novo in a feedback loop with juvenile hormone, we hypothesized that the secretion of cornicle droplets may result in a direct fitness cost to the emitter. We show that the secretion of a single cornicle droplet by pre-reproductive (third- and fourth-instar) pea aphids, Acyrthosiphon pisum, directly altered the timing and number of offspring produced. Third-instar pea aphids delayed offspring production but produced more offspring overall than non-secreting aphids, demonstrating a life-history shift but no significant fitness cost of droplet secretion. Fourth-instar pea aphids also delayed offspring production but produced the same number of offspring as non-secretors, resulting in a direct fitness cost of droplet secretion. Offspring production by adult, reproductive pea aphids that secreted a cornicle droplet did not differ from that of non-secretors. Thus, the fitness costs of secreting cornicle droplets containing an alarm signal are age-dependent.

Nasal obstruction with or without snoring is a frequent condition and, as such, it is easily disregarded by paediatricians and by parents as well. The paper describes three “unforgettable” clinical cases that must be a warning to investigate and not to underestimate those atypical and/or characteristic aspects, such as the nasal obstruction that rapidly becomes severe. Such aspects must induce to deepen investigations to exclude much more rare pathologies that if not promptly diagnosed would have serious prognostic repercussions on the child. Surely, the first alarm signal is time (recent onset and/or snoring that rapidly becomes severe), with worsening of symptoms. Surely, lymphadenopathy is another alarm signal, especially when bilateral and large. Furthermore, the onset of epistasis associated with oral cavity bleeding must not be underestimated.

<p>Physical security challenges from explosions are amplified in confined spaces. The air-blast shock waves reflect and propagate throughout the confined space. This paper describes the process of designing, constructing, and validating a wireless system for identification of explosions in real time. Protection of critical infrastructure requires the creation of a reliable system which provides quick and accurate identification of the hazards and subsequent transmission of the alarm signal to response and rescue services. The proposed wireless system consists of transmitter and receiver modules spaced throughout the tunnel. The transmitter module contains sensors and a microprocessor equipped with blast identification software. The receiver module produces an alarm signal and activation signal for the operation of protecting devices. The experimental validation has been carried out at the underground experimental base of G. Tsulukidze Mining Institute, Tbilisi, Georgia. The results of the testing validated the main characteristics of the system, notably:</p><p>No false signals were generated during the series of 20 experiments</p><p>After a blast event, the duration for analyzing the potential threat is 2.4 msec and the duration for activating the protection device is 11 msec</p><p>The reliable transmission distance is 150 m (492 ft) in a straight tunnel and 50 m (164 ft) in a tunnel with a 90° bend.</p>
