<pre>There are several differences between the two types of alarm systems, conventional systems and addressable systems. It is important to carefully determine the introduction of a fire alarm system according to the installation environment. Talking about the main difference relates to how the connected device communicates with the main control panel by sending a signal. Cost is another factor that can be a determinant of your chosen fire alarm system. In this paper, we proposed smart addressable fire detection system. In the proposed system, <span>IoT</span> was used and the network was constructed using <span>ZigBee</span> module. In the configured network, it consists of a local server and a control server. The local server controls the addressing sensor and sends the information obtained from the sensor to the control server. The control server receives data transmitted from the local server and enables quick fire action. In the actual implementation, the local server used the Lycra controller and <span>ZigBee</span> module. In addition, the control server used the Raspberry Pi and <span>ZigBee</span> modules and connected to the Ethernet so that the administrator could monitor or control the local server.</pre>

First attempts to use technical guard means were triggered by the need to prevent property encroachment. The easiest way to detect and locate lawbreakers was to place various objects in their way that would signal of their movements. With the advance of electronic technology special security breach devices appeared, as well as security alarm systems. Wide use of technical means allows to remove or minimize the adverse impact of a man — the most unreliable and invincible link in any security system. Since its formation in 1952, the Extradepartmental Guards has been employing technical means for facility protection based on such elements of electronic technology as diodes and transistors, followed by automated systems of central surveillance. Starting from the 2000s, microtechnology and cellular-based radio-communication guard systems have been used by the Extradepartmental Guards for facility protection. Extradepartmental Guards units run by the internal affairs authorities in the Altai Territory have been employing technical means since the end of the 1950s. Back then, when their use was launched, only some major departments had central surveillance systems operating. Later on technical means started to be used in all departments. Their use significantly increases the reliability of property protection and helps to reduce the number of thefts from facilities guarded by Extradepartmental Guards.

Background: Fire is one of the potential dangers that threatens human activities more and more. Given that, this study sought to introduce the factors preventing the spread of fire in hospitals to policymakers through prioritization based on the techniques of applied mathematics (multi-attribute decision-making technique). Methods: This study consisted of two stages. In the first stage, through a comprehensive review of studies, factors preventing the spread of fire were identified, and then in the second stage, based on the experts’ opinions, the attributes affecting the prioritization and their weights were determined. Finally, based on the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) model, the final prioritization was done for five types of hospital buildings. Results: Based on the literature review and experts’ opinions, seven factors and four attributes were identified. The most important factors were “the use of safety architecture and equipping with appropriate emergency exit accesses according to the standard” in highrise hospitals, “continuous firefighting training of the personnel” in wide hospitals, “use of fire extinguishing systems (automatic and manual)” in subsurface hospitals, “use of fire extinguishing systems (automatic and manual)” in combined hospitals, and “continuous firefighting training of the personnel” in portable hospitals. Conclusions: Fire safety is not limited to the installation of a manual fire extinguisher, but for fire safety, especially in hospitals, all aspects should be considered, including the architectural form of the building, how the materials and equipment in the building caught fire, fire behavior in terms of heat transfer, the firefighting training of the personnel, recognition, and application of modern and ready-made equipment for smoke ventilation systems and fire products, automatic and manual fire alarm systems, and extinguishing systems to prevent the spread of fire.

Abstract Alarm Management Systems ("AMS") have been adopted in the oil & gas industry where several benefits were realized. Such as improved panel operator effectiveness, maintaining higher levels of plant uptime and integrity, reducing the number of abnormal situation. Which ultimately leads to higher asset productivity. Several OPCO have multiple operational assets/sites that are geographically diverse. Where each asset might have a different Integrated Control System ("ICS") due to the time and availability of technology at the time of commissioning. Requiring diverse locally implemented AMS. A unified CAMS thus reduces time and effort to develop, deploy, and maintain alarm systems and is an essential toolkit for enhanced safe operation of the plant. Some sites have multiple plants wuth common pocess control section. The process control enginners needs to visit individual plants access DCS alalrms. By carryinhour corporate alarm management, engibbers at their office PCs have the access to the DCS alarms. Implementing CAMS requires the presence of a robust data presence infrastructure in place. Notably a centralized plant information management system, where several real time data points with regards to alarms and operator inputs can be captured. A CAMS unifies the approach of how alarm management is conducted in the company. Where a CAMS system generates a set of standard and custom templates that highlight the performance of each operating asset/shift/panel operator. Providing insights into the performance of each asset, efficiency of each operational shift and response of the panel operators. That when addressed, will lead to an overall performance and production of the operational asset. With this alarm management data, it can be further enhanced through data analytics to identify areas where operational efficiencies can be achieved. Additionally, the CAMS reduces the times and effort to deploy an alarm management system for any future operating asset expansions. CAMS coupled with real time data and Machine learning algorithms, past behaviours of the plant can be correlated, which can then be utilised for future predictions on alarms. This would further enhance our data driven decision-making, and would reduce the dependence on personal driven decisions. It can be concluded, that the CAMS is worthy investment for operating companies that have geographical/ICS diverse operational assets.

This study reports on the development of an operating model for an EPB Shield TBM simulator by the correlation between operating parameters. First, four main operating parameters required for excavation are analyzed, then multiple regression analysis estimates their requirements depending on the ground conditions and the TBM’s specifications. Further multiple regression analysis then determines the interactions between six operational actions and ten mechanical responses. Operating procedures are established, and interlock and warning alarm systems are designed for use in the operating model. Lastly, several simulations were tested for the operating model of the TBM simulator under various conditions.
