By comparing with the American CAEP teacher education accreditation standard, we study the characteristics of Chinese teacher education professional accreditation (TEPA) and the differences between Chinese and American accreditation standards. The aim of TEPA, which is drawing lessons from the idea of engineering education professional accreditation, is to improve the overall quality of Chinese teachers team, ensure the quality of teacher education, make the quality of pre-service teachers cultivation institutions continue to improve, and meet the needs of the society for qualified and excellent teachers.

Technical teacher education is highly relevant from many perspectives nowadays. Educational reform has brought a number of changes, including legislative measures. The end of 2014 is a milestone, bringing the duty of every teacher/educator to commence studies to complete pedagogical qualification as defined in Act No. 563/2004. The need to address the issue of technical teacher education in the Czech Republic is reflected in the many activities that are aimed at finding answers to questions about the objectives, assessment of the quality of teachers and study programs respectively, and institutions that provide these accredited studies. The paper deals with engineering education and educational psychological preparation of teachers of technical subjects. This indicates the specifics of education in the Czech Republic, confronting them also with foreign experience.

The professional accreditation is an important part of higher education accreditation, establishing and implementing the professional accreditation has already been widely recognized in China’s education and engineering. Based on introduction the accreditation system of higher engineering education in developed countries, this paper analyzes higher engineering education professional certification status in China, and then points out the problems in the higher engineering education. At last, it puts forward to establish a new thought of accreditation system of higher engineering education with Chinese characteristics.

AbstractUsing blended learning method, Blast Furnace subject was analysed inside the DidaTec Project. The analysed factors were the quality of presentation, quantity of information per page and human – computer interaction. The analysis shows the preference of students to work with different learning environments.
