Finite element analysis for piezoelectric actuator has been developed in Ansys Software which are a program that can analyses and simulate the dynamic behaviour of piezoelectric. The Ultrasonic Vibration assisted Milling (UVAM) experimental having a difficulty to investigate the effect of vibration mechanism where existence of error in material, mechanism and attachment of piezoelectric thus affect the amplitude and frequency of mechanical compliance during the machining of UVAM. This paper will investigate the modelling of piezoelectric compliance and follow the procedures of FEA to accurately predict the dynamic behaviour of compliance. The parameters for simulation of piezoelectric are voltage, electromechanical coupling and frequency. The compliance mechanism is model by using SolidWorks 2014 and imported to Ansys Mechanical APDL Software were the piezoelectric are embedded on the mechanism. Modal analysis and harmonic analysis has been used in order to obtain the mode shape and displacement. The displacement of the compliance mechanism will be compare between simulation and experimental. The dynamic behaviour was discussed in simulation to study the reliability of the compliance mechanism before it safely used in UVAM.

The purpose of this study was to determinate , using the Finite Element Analysis Method, the mechanical stress in a solid body , temporary molar restored with the self-curing GC material. The originality of our study consisted in using an accurate structural model and applying a concentrated force and a uniformly distributed pressure. Molar structure was meshed in a Solid Type 45 and the output data were obtained using the ANSYS software. The practical predictions can be made about the behavior of different restorations materials.

Conventional methods of design to be completed ordinary hydraulic transmission gear gearbox design, but for such a non-planet-rule entity, and the deformation of the planet-gear contact stress will have a great impact on the planet gear, it will be very difficult According to conventional design. In this paper, ANSYS software to the situation finite element analysis, the planetary gear to simulate modeling study.

The influence of adhesive layer thickness on the dynamic behaviour of the single-lap adhesive joints is investigated in this paper. The ABAQUS finite element analysis (FEA) software was used to predict the frequency response functions (FRFs) of the single-lap adhesive joints of different thickness of the adhesive layer. As a reference, the FRFs of a cantilevered beam without joint were investigated as well. It is clear that the FRFs of the four beams are close to each other within the frequency range 0~1000 Hz. It is also found that the composite damping of the single-lap adhesive joint increases as the thickness of the adhesive layer increases.

According to the situation that the dual-friction drums on the new type towing machine lack stress analysis when designed, the safety is difficult to test and verify. The pull of wire rope in various positions was derived and calculated, so both compressive stress and tangent friction force generated by the pull of wire rope were calculated. The result made by ANSYS software demonstrates the safety of the left drum which suffers from larger loads, structure improvement measures are put forward for the drum.

A 3-D coupled temperature-displacement finite element analysis is performed to study an ultrasonic consolidation process. Results show that ultrasonic wave is effective in causing deformation in aluminum foils. Ultrasonic vibration leads to an oscillating stress field. The oscillation of stress in substrate lags behind the ultrasonic vibration by about 0.1 cycle of ultrasonic wave. The upper foil, which is in contact with the substrate, has the most severe deformation. The substrate undergoes little deformation. Apparent material softening by ultrasonic wave, which is of great concern for decades, is successfully simulated. The higher the friction coefficient, the more obvious the apparent material softening effect.

In order to study the static and dynamical characteristics of the crankshaft, ANSYS software was used to carry out the corresponding calculations. The entity model of the crankshaft was established by UG software firstly, and then was imported into ANSYS software for meshing, and then the finite element model of the crankshaft was constructed. The crankshaft satisfied the requirement of stiffness and strength through static analysis. The top six natural frequencies and corresponding shapes were acquired through modal analysis, and the every order critical rotating speed of the crankshaft was calculated. The fatigue life of the crank was calculated by fatigue module of ANSYS software finally. These results offered the theoretical guidance for designing, manufacturing and repairing the crankshaft.

In this paper, the finite element analysis was firstly employed to investigate the thermal analysis on two fireproof sealing models with ANSYS software under HC standard temperature-time condition. The main thermal parameters were analyzed and obtained, including temperature field, thermal flux, and thermal gradient. After comparing the two fireproof sealing models, the major conclusions are summarized as follows: In terms of temperature field, the temperature on the left side of the first model ranges from 60 to 524°C in. In contrast, the highest temperature on the left side of the second model eventually reaches below 151°C. Moreover, the vectors of thermal gradient in the first model are compared with the second model, and the temperature gradient disturbance is more obvious in the second fireproof sealing model, which is better to slow down temperature spreading. The accelerated speed of E1 and G1 is 0.0096°C/s and 0.0619°C/s partly, which are far more than C2 and F2 with values of 0.0028°C/s and 0.0078°C/s, respectively. In a word, the performance of the first fireproof sealing model is inferior to the second fireproof sealing model. The conclusions of the study are meaningful to improve the thermodynamic performance of the fireproof sealing in the converter station.

One of the problems in installing cableway is the estimation of the tension. The mechanical model of coastal shore-to-ship transmission cableway was analyzed with catenary algorithm, compared with the finite element analysis of ANSYS software. The result shows that the tension and its changing amplitude are both gradually decreasing with the increase of the deflection. And, if the deflection is determined, the tension is decreasing with the increase of cableway’s span. These analysis results and conclusions can give the basis to safe installation of the cableway.
