Runway or runway is an area used by aircraft to take off. The length of the runway depends on the size of the aircraft served. Runway has a pavement structure that can withstand the weight of an aircraft when it wants to fly. This study discusses the damage to the surface structure of the Threshold 07 and Threshold 25 runways at the Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman (SAMS) runway in Sepinggan Balikpapan. Damage to the pavement surface often results from significant heat temperatures from the aircraft when taking off. Visual observations show that there are problems with the Threshold 07 and Threshold 25 pavement surfaces, the damage that occurs is the change in the surface shape of some segments, where the surface deformation eleves are up to 40 mm. Test results from Coredrill samples show that there are internal problems in the asphalt mixture, namely high asphalt content and low density value. By looking at the conditions above, there are problems caused by external and internal factors of the existing pavement, especially the surface conditions namely Threshold which is a location where the load is in MTOW conditions and the aircraft is moving slowly as well as high temperatures (environment and pavement)

Abstract Despite the fact that North Jakarta has been prompted as the new frontier of development with megaprojects, artificial islands, and large-scale infrastructures, little attention is paid to the development of small islands in Kepulauan Seribu, north of Jakarta, focused on Panggang island, one of the inhabited islands in Kepulauan Seribu, among Indonesia’s densest islands. There were the three challenges to the urbanization of small islands in the Jakarta megaregion, including: population growth, land availability and reclamation, and essential infrastructure provision. Through a participatory workshop with local authorities and communities, this paper proposed a model of sustainable settlement planning in Panggang Island, based on housing need assessment and spatial structure improvement to ensure the future settlement sustainability in Panggang island. To conclude, this paper critically reflects on the engagement process with local communities and the challenges in actualizing the settlement planning proposal in Pulau Pangang.

The article proposes methods for improving the structures of matrix multipliers of multi-digit numbers. Advanced single-bit total adders with paraphrase switched inputs and paraphrase outputs are used, intended as components of high-speed matrix multipliers. Based on the use of such single-bit adders, the structures of matrix multipliers are proposed, characterized by 2 times increased speed, 5 times reduced structural complexity compared to known multipliers based on classical single-bit adders. Optimization of structures of multi-bit matrix multipliers is offered. Comparative estimates of structural and temporal complexities of their circuit implementations depending on the bit size of multiplied binary numbers are given. The use of optimized circuit solutions of matrix multipliers can significantly improve the system characteristics of complex computing devices with many such components in the crystals of microelectronic technologies.

ABSTRACTThe elastic solidification of track bed is a new track structure improvement technology between the traditional gravel track bed and the ballast less track monolithic track bed. It can effectively solve the main technical problems of heavy haul railway transportation, such as large impact force of wheel rail, serious deformation of track bed and frequent maintenance etc. In this paper, combined with the characteristics of polyurethane properties affected by its chemical composition, a solidified ballast polyurethane material suitable for heavy haul railway was developed by adding diluents and other materials. Physical property test and mechanical triaxial test were carried out to assess the influence of diluent content on the hardening effect of ballast; the physical process and mechanical properties of different proportion materials were analyzed. The experimental results show that adding appropriate amount of diluent into polyurethane material can effectively improve the integrity of ballast bed, increase the strength, reduce the deformation, and prolong the service life of ballast track bed.

Bangladesh – China relationship has been fantastic by the political, monetary and military ties throughout the most recent few decades. Key relations among Bangladesh and China were set up in 1976, and to be straightforward, various specialists on worldwide relations dissected the method of two-sided relations since the establishment of placating relations 45 years back, and applauded dynamic joint effort and affiliation that have been preceding between the two countries various regions of common interest. They reviewed that the relations between the people of these two nations go back to hundreds of years. However, it is emphasized that the progressive heads of these two nations made significant commitments to the advancement of China-Bangladesh relations. Moreover, it can be mentioned that the solidification and upgradation of China-Bangladesh relation and participation serve the major interests of these two nations, meet the regular goals of the people and help towards building harmony and improvement in the areas of development. Thus it is suggested that a "Closer Complete Organization of Participation" between China and Bangladesh is set up based on the standards of longstanding kinship, uniformity, and shared advantage. With the unique initiative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the two nations have assented to keep on state visits and contacts between government associations, parliaments, philosophical gatherings, military, and non-authoritative social occasions of the two countries; advance correspondence and coordinated effort at the public authority level. Her administration empowers to redesign the investment instruments, including key gatherings, the Joint Monetary and Exchange Board of trustees and Joint Horticulture Council. Various gatherings have been attempting to heighten support in return, hypothesis, cultivation, transportation and structure improvement dependent on value and basic benefit between the two countries. "Belt and Road Initiative" has been contributory to develop the shared interest of the two nations. “Sister Cities” alliance is the last addition to deepen the mutual interest of both countries. This paper is aimed to investigate current trade, agreements, investment, agriculture, transportation and infrastructural development in the pursuit of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and China. This article has tremendously attempted to disclose the present pattern of two-sided relations between Bangladesh and China under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina in the office of Prime Minister in Bangladesh. Article has been worked out based on literature review and analysis has been made consulting the recent scholarships.

The article discusses the solution to the problem of underground railway transport slipping in dynamic modes, which occurs when there is a significant difference in the speeds of the driving and driven pairs of wheels. The state of the rail surfaces largely determines the coefficient of adhesion, therefore, using a mathematical model, the condition for the dependence of the magnitude of slipping and tractive effort is selected. For effective acceleration and deceleration of an electric locomotive, it is necessary to control the coefficient of adhesion at a certain level. A simulation model of rolling stock has been created, which for the first time takes into account a mechanical system with distributed parameters. In the structural diagram of the automatic control system of traction electric drives with frequency regulation, such factors as the volume of goods being moved, rolling friction, slope (rise) levels and the state of the rail track are taken into account. The simulation results show the features of the movement and stops of the freight train not only by the diagrams of speed and forces in the modes of acceleration-deceleration and uniform movement, but also the positions of the plungers and tractive forces on the couplings of the electric locomotive and all trolleys involved in the movement of goods. The practical application of the proposed method lies in the possibility of starting a heavily laden train from its place on the ascent section in conditions of insufficient adhesion coefficient with contaminated roads.

Abstract Population flow can influence the growth of regional carbon emissions. This paper analyzes the dual transmission mechanism of population flow’s impact on population structure and carbon emission. On this basis, it empirically studies the impact of population flow and other related factors on carbon emissions in China by using panel data of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2005 to 2018 with panel econometric regression and heterogeneity analysis. The results show that, i) Over all, no matter in long-term or short-term, China’s population flow can reduce the growth of carbon emissions. ii) The aging of regional population and knowledge structure improvement caused by population flow helps reduce carbon emissions, while the regional urbanization caused by population flow and household miniaturization have no significant correlation with the growth of carbon emissions. iii) From the perspective of geographical heterogeneity, the northwest of "Hu Huangyong line" has poor ecological environment, low population density and low level of economic development. Population flow promotes the increase of carbon emissions, while the southeast of "Hu Huangyong line" is on the contrary. iv) The consumption level of Chinese residents, per capita GDP, energy intensity and energy consumption structure have positive effects on carbon emissions, while carbon emission intensity has negative effects. Finally, this paper puts forward relevant suggestions from the perspective of coordinating population policy and energy conservation and carbon emissions reduction policy.
