There is complementarity among wind, photovoltaic, and hydro power (wind/PV/hydro power), which is closely related to the bundled installed capacity of wind/PV/hydro complementary power generation system and regulating ability of hydropower. This paper evaluates the complementary characteristics among wind, PV, and hydro power though the ability of the system to output power smoothly. First, the ratio of installed capacity of wind to PV power is determined by minimizing the volatility of wind/PV joint power generation. Second, an optimization model, with the objective of maximizing grid-connected and steady output of wind/PV/hydro complementary system in the dry season, to determine the bundled output of the system is proposed. Third, the complementary characteristics of wind/PV/hydro power are analyzed by the bundled output and the absorptive rate of new energy in the dry season. The implication in the Yalong River shows that: (1) The optimum ratio of installed capacity of wind to PV power is 0.7. (2) The bundled output of wind/PV/hydro system is 1.742GW, in which 6.3GW are bundled capacity of wind/PV/hydro power. (3) The complementarity of wind/PV/hydro power will be strengthened with the increase of runoff in the dry season and the decrease of the new energy installed capacity. The research can provide guidelines for the planning and design of the clean energy complementary base.

In this paper, a method of magnetoelectricity power generation system for vehicle on the downhill of expressways is proposed. This system is a clean energy system that can be reused. Its structure includes car magnetic poles, magnetic poles imbedded in road surface, closed circuit imbedded in road surface, rectifier, inverter and storage battery. Multi-unit magnetic poles and closed circuits imbedded in the road surface are used in this invention, so when the car poles move with the running down of cars on downhill, magnetic flow in closed circuits will change to produce a technique of group control power generation. From the simulated system in the test, it can be seen that it is efficient and effective in generating power.

New energy power generation system needs interface converter to connect to the grid. Because the type of new energy is different, its interface converter is also different. In order to adapt to the diversification of the modeling and control strategy of the converter, a generalized interface model is established in this paper. The model is based on the electromechanical transient simulation, which ignores the physics switching device and simplifies the control module. Finally, adaptive verifications are made in PSCAD/EMTDC and Matlab/Simulink for photovoltaic power generation system and wind power generation system. The results of simulation prove the validity of the generalized model.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are becoming more and more popular. In all sectors of society can see the presence of unmanned aerial vehicles. However, the short flight time and flight distance always restrict the development of UAV. The most imminent and creative work is how to make the perfect combination of new energy technologies with UAVs. In this paper, a wind-solar hybrid power generation system and its operation scheme design are discussed, and the application of the wind solar hybrid power generation system controlled by a single-chip microcomputer is discussed. The experimental results show that this kind of power generation system and its operation scheme are improved compared with the conventional design.
