In this paper, by using the new concepts of monotonicity, pseudomonotonicity and hemicontinuity associated with the considered curvilinear integral functional, we investigate the well-posedness and well-posedness in generalized sense for a class of controlled variational inequality problems. More precisely, by introducing the approximating solution set of the considered class of controlled variational inequality problems, we formulate and prove some characterization results on well-posedness and well-posedness in generalized sense. Also, the theoretical developments presented in the paper are accompanied by illustrative examples.

In this paper, we studied the well posedness for a new class of optimization problems with variational inequality constraints involving second-order partial derivatives. More precisely, by using the notions of lower semicontinuity, pseudomonotonicity, hemicontinuity and monotonicity for a multiple integral functional, and by introducing the set of approximating solutions for the considered class of constrained optimization problems, we established some characterization results on well posedness. Furthermore, to illustrate the theoretical developments included in this paper, we present some examples.

A new class of differential variational inequalities (DVIs), governed by a variational inequality and an evolution equation formulated in infinite-dimensional spaces, is investigated in this paper. More precisely, based on Browder’s result, optimal control theory, measurability of set-valued mappings and the theory of semigroups, we establish that the solution set of DVI is nonempty and compact. In addition, the theoretical developments are accompanied by an application to differential Nash games.

We present the solvability of a class of nonlinear variational inequalities involving pseudomonotone operators in a locally convex Hausdorff topological vector spaces setting. The obtained result generalizes similar variational inequality problems on monotone operators.

We study the connectedness of solution set for set-valued weak vector variational inequality in unbounded closed convex subsets of finite dimensional spaces, when the mapping involved is scalarC-pseudomonotone. Moreover, the path connectedness of solution set for set-valued weak vector variational inequality is established, when the mapping involved is strictly scalarC-pseudomonotone. The results presented in this paper generalize some known results by Cheng (2001), Lee et al. (1998), and Lee and Bu (2005).

Purpose of study: To introduce the concept of projective and involuntary variational inequality problems of order  and  respectively. To study the equivalence theorem between these problems. To study the projected dynamical system using self involutory variational inequality problems. Methodology: Improved extra gradient method is used. Main Finding: Using a self-solvable improved extra gradient method we solve the variational inequalities. The algorithm of the projected dynamical system is provided using the RK-4 method whose equilibrium point solves the involutory variational inequality problems. Application of this study: Runge-Kutta type method of order 2 and 4 is used for the initial value problem with the given projected dynamical system with the help of self involutory variational inequality problems. The originality of this study:  The concept of self involutory variational inequality problems, projective and involuntary variational inequality problems of order  and  respectively are newly defined.

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to study a new Tseng’s extragradient method with two different stepsize rules for solving pseudomonotone variational inequalities in real Hilbert spaces. We prove a strong convergence theorem of the proposed algorithm under some suitable conditions imposed on the parameters. Moreover, we also give some numerical experiments to demonstrate the performance of our algorithm.

We investigate the connections between vector variational inequalities and ordered variational inequalities in finite dimensional real vector spaces. We also use some fixed point theorems to prove the solvability of ordered variational inequality problems and their application to some order-optimization problems on the Banach lattices.

We introduce and analyze a relaxed iterative algorithm by combining Korpelevich’s extragradient method, hybrid steepest-descent method, and Mann’s iteration method. We prove that, under appropriate assumptions, the proposed algorithm converges strongly to a common element of the fixed point set of infinitely many nonexpansive mappings, the solution set of finitely many generalized mixed equilibrium problems (GMEPs), the solution set of finitely many variational inclusions, and the solution set of general system of variational inequalities (GSVI), which is just a unique solution of a triple hierarchical variational inequality (THVI) in a real Hilbert space. In addition, we also consider the application of the proposed algorithm for solving a hierarchical variational inequality problem with constraints of finitely many GMEPs, finitely many variational inclusions, and the GSVI. The results obtained in this paper improve and extend the corresponding results announced by many others.
