Using A Segmented Voltage Sweep Mode and A Gaussian Curve Fitting Method to Improve Heavy Metal Measurement System PerformanceThis paper presents a voltammetric segmented voltage sweep mode that can be used to identify and measure heavy metals' concentrations. The proposed sweep mode covers a set of voltage ranges that are centered around the redox potentials of the metals that are under analysis. The heavy metal measurement system can take advantage of the historical database of measurements to identify the metals with higher concentrations in a given geographical area, and perform a segmented sweep around predefined voltage ranges or, alternatively, the system can perform a fast linear voltage sweep to identify the voltammetric current peaks and then perform a segmented voltage sweep around the set of voltages that are associated with the voltammetric current peaks. The paper also includes the presentation of two auto-calibration modes that can be used to improve system's reliability and proposes the usage of a Gaussian curve fitting of voltammetric data to identify heavy metals and to evaluate their concentrations. Several simulation and experimental results, that validate the theoretical expectations, are also presented in the paper.

Chromatic confocal technique application in displacement measurement is studied theoretically and experimentally. a set of refractive lenses are designed and a measurement system is established. Correlation fitting method is proposed to fit spectrum curve and find peak wavelength. Results with use of correlation fitting method are compared with Gaussian and smoothing spline fitting methods. It indicate that correlation fitting method have higher extracting accuracy of peak wavelength and smaller RMSE of linear fitting due to narrower and smoother correlation curve.

AbstractIn this paper, an accurate 3D model analysis of a circular feature is built with error compensation for robot vision. We propose an efficient method of fitting ellipses to data points by minimizing the algebraic distance subject to the constraint that a conic should be an ellipse and solving the ellipse parameters through a direct ellipse fitting method by analysing the 3D geometrical representation in a perspective projection scheme, the 3D position of a circular feature with known radius can be obtained. A set of identical circles, machined on a calibration board whose centres were known, was calibrated with a camera and did the model analysis that our method developed. Experimental results show that our method is more accurate than other methods.

ndustrial robots are introduced into quality control process for automobile welding detecting. The online automatic measurement system for body-in-white based on industrial robots is established firstly, and then coordinate transformation matrix is calculated with optimization algorithm and curve fitting method, the results measured by the system are analyzed at last. Compared with CMM, the system has the simular measurement precision but higher efficiency and automation.
