Cuscuta species are holoparasitic plants which constitute a strong sink by draining a large proportion of the carbohydrates produced by the host plant. An experimental system has been constructed in order to study the loading of sugars into the translocation system of Cuscuta. Cuscuta campestris parasitizing alfalfa plants were trimmed to one fast-growing shoot on a host stem and allowed to accumulate label from 14C-labelled assimilates, [14C]sucrose, sucrose ([14C]glucose), [14C]glucose, or 3-O-[14C]methylglucose supplied to the host stem. Rates of label accumulation were measured and a higher level of sugar accumulated per time unit was interpreted as preferred loading of the sugar. As sucrose was the sugar most rapidly loaded into the translocation system of the parasite, an analogy between this loading mechanism and established cases of phloem loading into leaf veins is suggested.

Organic synthesis chemistry is a very fast-growing discipline and it plays a very important role in chemistry. With the development of organic synthetic chemistry, organic synthesis device has also made greater development. At the same time, advances of organic synthesis device further promote the development of organic synthetic chemistry. This paper describes the working principle and system architecture of organic synthesis device and takes a case of di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP). At last, I foresee great prospect for organic synthesis

Abstract. Random response is a very common aberrant response behavior in personality tests and may negatively affect the reliability, validity, or other analytical aspects of psychological assessment. Typically, researchers use a single person-fit index to identify random responses. This study recommends a three-step person-fit analysis procedure. Unlike the typical single person-fit methods, the three-step procedure identifies both global misfit and local misfit individuals using different person-fit indices. This procedure was able to identify more local misfit individuals than single-index method, and a graphical method was used to visualize those particular items in which random response behaviors appear. This method may be useful to researchers in that it will provide them with more information about response behaviors, allowing better evaluation of scale administration and development of more plausible explanations. Real data were used in this study instead of simulation data. In order to create real random responses, an experimental test administration was designed. Four different random response samples were produced using this experimental system.

SummaryThe purified anticoagulant split product of fibrinogen has antifibrinolytic and anti-fibrinogenolytic activity. This was investigated by lysis times of fibrin and by the rate of disappearance of fibrinogen in plasma and in a purified system. A new method was used to measure fibrinogenolytic activity. In the experimental system which we have used no indication of additional breakdown of the anticoagulant split product in the presence of fibrinolysin was obtained.

The paper considers the modern university as an economic growth driver within the University 3.0 concept (education, research, and commercialization of knowledge). It demonstrates how the University 3.0 is becoming the basis for global competitiveness of national economies and international alliances, and how its business ecosystem generates new fast-growing industries, advanced technology markets and cost-efficient administrative territories.

The paper deals with the research devoted to characteristics of high tech business development in Russia. Companies’ performance indicators have been analyzed with the help of regression analysis and author’s scheme of leadership stability and sustainability assessment. Data provided by Russia’s Fast Growing High-Tech Companies’ National Rating (TechUp) during 2012-2016 were used. The results have revealed that the high tech sector is characterized by high level of uncertainty. Limited number of regions and sectors which form the basis for high tech business have been defined. Relationship between innovation activity’s indicators and export potential is determined.

To develop new wood cellulose resources and fast-growing pulpwood plantation fiber sources, it is very important to evaluate their pulping properties. A comprehensive multi-index pulping-suitability evaluation model is investigated in this paper by considering four fast-growing wood species. First, a new evaluation-index system for kraft pulp was developed based on traditional evaluation-index systems. Then, the membership degree of every index was analyzed to obtain a fuzzy matrix. The proportional contribution of each parameter to the main pulping properties could then be determined. Finally, a comprehensive evaluation model of kraft pulp properties was developed. The model is reliable compared with traditional assessment methods. The results confirmed the feasibility and rationality of developing new wood cellulose resources and fast-growing pulpwood plantations using fuzzy comprehensive evaluations.
