The paper presents the development of an opto-electronic data transmission system for high frequency measurements in rotating turbomachines. A model test rig was built to verify the response capabilities of the system for high speed rotating pressure probes traversing strong pressure gradient fields. Finally, the paper describes the construction of a rotating probe mechanism for measurements in a high speed annular turbine test rig.

E-Commerce would mention the use of electronic data transmission to implement or enhance any business process. Some people use the term internet commerce to mean electronic commerce that specifically uses the internet or the web as its date transmission medium. As important part of electronic commerce understands how firms can use it to adopt to change. The business world is changing more rapidly now than ever before.

This paper reviews the role of the GDDS in helping developing and emerging market countries improve the dissemination of macroeconomic and sociodemographic data. It considers whether the GDDS, in the way it was designed about a decade ago and enhanced along the way, has fulfilled its purpose. Further, it considers whether the GDDS remains relevant to its current and prospective members, given ongoing global integration, increasing emphasis on transparency and governance mechanisms, and increased reliance on the Internet and electronic data transmission.
