The solubility diagrams of the ZnSeO3-SeO2-H2O system were obtained at 0 and 25 °C and utilized for the preparation of Zn(HSeO3)2.2H2O and ZnSe2O5 , respectively. The thermal stability and the infrared absorption spectra were studied for ZnSeO3, Zn(HSeO3)2.2H20, and ZnSe2O5, and the force constants of the selenium-oxygen bonds were evaluated and the hydrogen bonds present were characterized.
