Because of the high speed, strong coupling between aerodynamics and propulsion system, complex environmental conditions and new propulsion system, the airbreathing hypersonic vehicles have a complex dynamics characteristic. This paper use the generic hypersonic vehicle model (CSULA-GHV) to research this issue. The nonlinear longitudinal equations of motion are linearized based on the assumption of little perturbation. Analyze the dynamic characteristic on a feature point selected. The results show that, the stability of this model is poor. It has to design an efficient controller to adjust the poor stability.

One of the main functions of the steam turbine admission valve is to provide a very fast closing to intercept the supply of mass flow rapidly from the steam entering the turbine and cause destructive overspeed. In order to quickly close the admission valve, at the beginning of the stroke the moving parts of the valve should be accelerated to a high speed; when the stroke ends, a lot of kinetic energy is converted to impact energy. To prevent damage to valve parts, a quick closing buffer system is required to absorb the most of the impact energy. The quick closing buffer system plays an important role in the admission valve as an influencing factor of the dynamic characteristics of the valve. In the past, considering the complex internal structure, the research about quick closing buffer system relied on confirmatory experimental study or analytic method to get a quick closing buffer process. This paper focus on the quick closing process of a high pressure steam admission valve of Shanghai Turbine Plant. The dynamic characteristic of the quick closing buffer system is investigated by means of method of CFD numerical simulation for the first time, in order to find a more convenient and effective way to get the key factors that affect the dynamic characteristics, and the accuracy of the of CFD numerical simulation is verified by test, which are valuable for building an accurate dynamic characteristic analysis model of steam turbine admission valve.

It is quite different to design a high-speed and high frequency machine than designing a common machine. Strength and dynamic characteristic analysis of rotor are key techniques for high-speed permanent magnet (PM) machine. Rotor combined design should be investigated based on mechanical with electromagnetic and dynamic properties analysis. The finite element method is used to analyze stress and electromagnetism field and dynamic characteristic. The multi-physics field iteration design is carried out by optimization analysis of the finite element software. A high-speed PM machine with rated speed of 60000 rpm, 75kW is presented with this method. The experimental measurements validate the correctness of this method.

As an important part of the vertical axis wind turbine, the support structure should have high strength and stiffness. This article adopts finite element method to model a kind of tower structure of the vertical axis wind turbine and carry out static and modal analysis. The static and dynamic characteristic results of tower in this paper provide reference for optimization design the support structure of wind turbine further.
