“We are on the precipice of an epoch,” in which 21st century organizations are facing a complex, competitive landscape driven largely by globalization and the technological revolution (Hitt, 1998, p. 218). As such, Bikson, Treverton, Moini and Lindstrom (2003) have urged universities to develop a global leadership curriculum, based on their prediction of a future shortage of global leaders in all sectors. This essay examines the critical role of global and culturally responsive leadership for graduates of higher education institutions.

This text focuses on culturally responsive education programs within higher education institutions. The first section traces the historical roots of culturally responsive teaching and explores why it is a pivotal component necessary for pre-service students to comprehend. The next section emphasizes strategies that are currently used within the higher education sector to expose students to culturally competent practices in the classroom. Among the strategies that are discussed are community based immersion experiences, diversity and multi-cultural courses and student teaching experiences. The chapter then closes with a framework for recommendation and improvements for higher education institutions to implement to further refine and strengthen teacher preparatory programs.

Choice of profession is a social phenomenon that every person has to face in life. Numerous studies convince us that not only the well-being of a person depends on the chosen work, but also his attitude to himself and life in general, therefore, the right and timely professional choice is very important. Research about factors of career self-determination of students of higher education institutions in Ukraine shows that self-determination is an important factor in the socialization of young person, and the factors that determine students' career choices become an actual problem of nowadays. The present study involved full-time and part-time students of Institute of Philology and Mass Communications of Open International University of Human Development "Ukraine" in order to examine the factors of career self-determination of students of higher education institutions (N=189). Diagnostic factors of career self-determination of students studying in the third and fourth year were carried out using the author's questionnaire. Processing of obtained data was carried out using the Excel 2010 program; factorial and comparative analysis were applied. Results of the study showed that initial stage of career self-determination falls down on the third and fourth studying year at the university, when an image of future career and career orientations begin to form. At the same time, the content of career self-determination in this period is contradictory and uncertain, therefore, the implementation of pedagogical support of this process among students is effective.

This study aims to analyze the effect of reputation, competence on customer loyalty with customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The population in this study were students of private tertiary institutions in Central Java who are members of Services for Higher Education Institutions Region VI, while a sample of 5 private universities, using the purposive sampling method, was taken with the Slovin formula of 190 respondents. The analysis technique uses regression analysis. Research results show the customer satisfaction variable can be an intervening variable or able to mediate between the direct influence of the reputation variable and the competency variable on customer loyalty variables.
