The passive wireless temperature measurement system based on SAW is a better method than the fiber optic and the infrared temperature measurement in measuring the temperature of electrical equipment, but the environmental characteristics have an effect on it. In this paper, the effects of open space and closed space on the system are studied by experiments. The open space has a greater effect on temperature measuring signal because of the polarization direction of the antenna; In the closed space of the metal cabinet, whether there is sheet metallic object near the senor or not, it has no effects on the signal, which is mainly because that the reflections of electromagnetic signals by the internal walls of the metal cabinet make the signal power enhanced between the reader and the sensor through multi-angle reflections. Therefore, this type of measurement system is more suitable for the metallic objects in metal cabinet.

R temperature measurement in electrical equipment is more and more used in temperature measurement, but accuracy of temperature measurement is susceptible to outside interference. The main factors affecting the accuracy of measuring temperature, such as environmental factors, equipment emissivity and distance coefficient, are analyzed, the solution has been put forward. In the environmental conditions under the condition of relatively unchanged ,change rule of the temperature value along with the temperature measuring distance changing from 0.7 to 5 meters is found, and temperature value is calibrated . The result after calibrating shows that the method is valid,and error of temperature is less than 0.7°C within 5 meters.

As one of the important parameters for the production process of industry, agriculture and military, temperature can affect the production efficiency, energy efficiency and people’s living standards. The temperature measurement has been widely noted and studied. Firstly, the software can receive the temperature of measuring point, and store the value in the database. Secondly, when the temperature exceeds the specified range, the software will give an alarm. The software can view the historical temperature data and draw the curve of temperature. Finally, the software can query and modify the information of the measuring point, such as number, name, normal temperature range of equipment, etc. Based on the existing research results, this paper describes the design and implement of wireless temperature measurement software for electrical equipment.
