Purpose. To develop the integrated mathematical model for definition of bifacial solar element rational power operation in the various operation conditions caused by orientation of solar panels and power influence. Methodology. We have proposed the method of definition of bifacial solar elements irradiation and temperature mode and also electric power production at various orientation of panels. Results. We have made analytical investigations of temperature operation conditions of solar elements and their influence on electrical power for various panels orientation in space. Features of irradiation of the forward and back parts of solar panels, conditions of a temperature operating mode and its influence on electric power production are shown. Possibilities of rational conditions of spatial panels orientation are considered. Originality. We have suggested and proved the model of definition bifacial irradiation solar panels and thermal conditions of electric power production and also rational conditions of spatial orientation of panels. Practical value. The developed by us methodology as well as results of its application, allows to choose rational architecture of a solar power station with high efficiency.

Uranium mining often escapes the attention of debates around the nuclear industries. The chemical elements’ representations are focused on the nuclear reactor. The article explores what I refer to as becoming the nuclear front – the uranium mining frontier’s expansion to Tanzania, its historical entanglements and current state. The geographies of the nuclear industries parallel dominant patterns and the unevenness of the global divisions of labour, resource production and consumption. Clearly related to the developments and expectations in the field of atomic power production, uranium exploration and the gathering of geological knowledge on resource potentiality remains a peripheral realm of the technopolitical perceptions of the nuclear fuel chain. Seen as less spectacular and less associated with high-technology than the better-known elements of the nuclear industry the article thus aims to shine light on the processes that pre-figure uranium mining by looking at the example of Tanzania.

In the article, the electrical and thermal processes in the LED lamp with varied parameters are investigated. Voltage and current measurements on all LEDs of the luminaire are carried out in the nominal operating mode. The power allocated to each LED is determined. The calculation of the LED crystal temperature was carried out using the developed thermal LED model based on the results of the measurements and by using “Multisim” program. It has been established that the temperature of the crystals of individual LEDs in the luminaire differ significantly, which leads to unfavourable thermal conditions for them and an increased likelihood of premature failure.
