This paper introduces the service-oriented architecture technology, and proposes the architecture model of Out-trajectory Data Processing in distributed environment. According to the demand and features of Ship-borne Out-trajectory Data Processing flow, it describes how to carry out cross-platform service integration by using the Service Bus Middleware, and provides a kind of typical distributed deployment strategy.

Enterprise Applications are difficult to implement and maintain because they require a monolith of code to incorporate required business processes. Service-oriented architecture is one solution, but challenges of dependency and software complexity remain. We propose Event-Driven Service-Oriented Architecture, which combines the benefits of component-based software development, event-driven architecture, and SOA.

In this chapter we present a discussion on our experiences with the development of Web Service specifications. Web Services, and the Service Oriented Architecture model engendered therein, have gained significant traction in recent years with deployments in ever increasing domains. In this chapter we describe our experiences with several Web Service specifications. In general lessons learnt, and design decisions made, during these implementations would be applicable to several other specifications. The authors hope that their insights and experiences with the development of Web Service specifications would be beneficial to other researchers in this area in formulating a strategy for the development of systems based on Web Services.

By analyzing the current problems in equipment automatic test system, we describe the concept, the basic working principle and advantages of service-oriented architecture (SOA), then introduce the web service architecture and the standards of establishing service-oriented architecture. The architecture model of automatic test system on SOA-based equipment was designed, and was used to realize the unified description of equipment automatic test (including fault diagnosis) information. This effectively improves the equipment's capability in performance detection and maintenance support.

Recent works have proposed a number of models and tools to address the growing needs and expectations in the field of e-Science. At the same time, the availability and models of use of networked computing resources needed by e-Science are rapidly changing and see the coexistence of many disparate paradigms: high performance computing, grid and recently cloud, which brings very promising expectations due to its high flexibility. In this paper we suggest a model to promote the convergence and the integration of different computing paradigms and infrastructures for the dynamic on-demand provisioning of the resources needed by e-Science environments, leveraging the Service-Oriented Architecture model. In addition, its design aims at endorsing a flexible, modular, workflow-based collaborative environment for e-Science. A working implementation used to validate the proposed approach is described together with some performance tests.
