The primary purpose of this paper is to provide feasibility study of Cassandra and spark in Computer Aided Drug Design (CADD). The Apache Cassandra database is a big data management tool which can be used to store huge amount of data in different file formats. A huge database can be designed with details of all known molecules or compounds that are existing on earth. The information regarding the compounds such as selectivity, solubility, synthetic viability, affinity, adverse reactions, metabolism and environmental toxicity along with the 3 D structure of molecule can be stored in this big database. A data analytics tool “spark” can be efficiently used in mining and managing huge data stored in the database. Integrating big data in CADD helps in identifying the candidate drugs within minutes, not years. It may take eight to fifteen years to develop a new drug traditionally. Spark is written in Scala Programming Language which runs on Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and it supports Scala, Java and Python Programming languages .Cassandra can provide connectors to different programming languages, hence it’s very easy to integrate any other molecular modeling tool with Spark. A python based molecular modeling tool called Pymol can be easily implemented with Spark. CADD helps in identifying new drugs by computational means thus eliminating unnecessary cost incurred in chemical testing of drugs.

Nowadays, image processing has become one of the widely used computer aided science. Two major branches of this scientific field are image enhancement and machine vision. Machine vision has many applications and demands in robotic and defense industries. Detecting distance of objects is one of the extensive research in the defense industry and robotic industries that a lot of annual projects have been involved in this issue both inside and outside the country. So, in this paper, an accurate algorithm is presented for measuring the distance of the objects from a camera. In this method, a laser transmitter is used alongside a regular webcam. The laser light is transmitted to the desired object and then the distance of the object is calculated using image processing methods and mathematical and geometric relations. The performance of the proposed algorithm was evaluated using MATLAB software. The accuracy rate of distance detection is up to 99.62%. The results also has shown that the presented algorithms make the obstacle distance measurement more reliable. Finally, the performance of the proposed algorithm was compared with other methods from different literatures.

In recent years, athlete action recognition has become an important research field for showing and recognition of athlete actions. Generally speaking, movement recognition of athletes can be performed through a variety of modes, such as motion sensors, machine vision, and big data analysis. Among them, machine vision and big data analysis usually contain significant information which can be used for various purposes. Machine vision can be expressed as the recognition of the time sequence of a series of athlete actions captured through camera, so that it can intervene in the training of athletes by visual methods and approaches. Big data contains a large number of athletes’ historical training and competition data which need exploration. In-depth analysis and feature mining of big data will help coach teams to develop training plans and devise new suggestions. On the basis of the above observations, this paper proposes a novel spatiotemporal attention map convolutional network to identify athletes’ actions, and through the auxiliary analysis of big data, gives reasonable action intervention suggestions, and provides coaches and decision-making teams to formulate scientific training programs. Results of the study show the effectiveness of the proposed research.
