Forming dies are often costly for producers and the cost amount is influenced by production process too. If the die is manufactured by machining, proper strategies would necessary to consider as well. The right selection of adequate strategy helps production times shortening, tool wear reducing and those affect production effectiveness. Used strategies and its parameters are often compromise between acceptable surface quality and variations in shape aside, and production time on the other side. The paper presents the way of evaluation of milling strategy based on selected elements of forming die. This allows choosing the adequate strategy for particular shapes of die and also to evaluate them by the reached surface quality. Presented approach is verified by machining forging die cavity for production of connecting rod.

Increasing effectiveness is very important for companies to obtain success in their business processes. One example of increasing effectiveness is by evaluating the performance of production facilities in the company. PT. X is one of the chemical industry companies whose main production is urea fertilizer. One of the supporting processes of the production process is the Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) in the utility unit. In supporting the production process, GTG often experiences problems that directly hinder the production process. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Gas Turbine Generators by using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. The results of the analysis show that the Turbine Gas Generator effectiveness level is 68.39% which indicates that the value of production effectiveness is considered reasonable, but shows there is a large space for improvement.

Since the traditional electrical system data monitor equipment has some shortage, such as limited monitoring objects, single monitoring direction, the authors combine computer science Internet technologies with electric power system production process and extend the scope of monitoring system. This paper analyzes the key technology by which the operator monitoring system can be realized, and puts forward the scheme, which based on.NET platform, of recording operator’s behaviors during electric power generation, and it is implemented in WINDOWS system.
