We address the measurement of reverberation in terms of the (DRR) in the context of the assessment of dereverberation algorithms for which we wish to quantify the level of reverberation before and after processing. The DRR is normally calculated from the impulse response of the reverberating system. However, several important dereverberation algorithms involve nonlinear and/or time-varying processing and therefore their effect cannot conveniently be represented in terms of modifications to the impulse response of the reverberating system. In such cases, we show that a good estimate of DRR can be obtained from the input/output signals alone using the Signal-to-Reverberant Ratio (SRR) only if the source signal is spectrally white and correctly normalized. We study alternative normalization schemes and conclude by showing a least squares optimal normalization procedure for estimating DRR using signal-based SRR measurement. Simulation results illustrate the accuracy of DRR estimation using SRR.

The US dispatched a large quantity of troops to Taiwan in 1950 and constructed American Military Housing in Shilin District. The United States military in Taiwan provided military and economic assistance. The preference to the US increased with enhancing national living standards so that local economic and cultural development were greatly affected by the introduction of the US culture. By applying DEA to measuring the performance evaluation of local governments, appropriate input/output factors are selected to efficiently evaluate the performance of local governments. To integrate the selection of input/output factors with expert opinions, reduce input costs, and avoid fuzziness in the investigation process, Fuzzy Delphi Method is utilized for sieving input/output factors. The research results show the relative efficiency of 2 local governments being strong-form efficiency, with the efficiency = 1, revealing the better relative efficiency. The relative efficiency of 3 local governments, 25% of all DMUs, appears in 0.9–1, presenting the relative efficiency of such local governments being more easily enhanced. The efficiency of 7 local governments, 58% of all DMUs, is lower than 0.9, showing the distinct inefficiency.

As an important form of technological innovation, the collaborative innovation of industry-university-research institute has attracted more and more attention from the business circles, science and technology management departments and academic circles in China. Against this background, the performance evaluation model of industry-university-research collaboration innovation was established on the basis of the input-output perspective, and the factor analysis was used to scientifically assess the performance of industry-university-research collaboration innovation in 29 provinces and cities in China. The scores and rankings were analyzed in detail.

medical application running outside the workstation environment has to deal with several limitations, such as reduced available memory and low network bandwidth. Adaptations and novel approaches are required to make applications overcome such problems. This paper presents an approach that uses a combination of client- and server-side procedures to dynamically optimize the data flow for fast image transfer and visualization on mobile and stationary devices. The main goal of our approach is to minimize the amount of data transferred to and used in the host device without sacrificing the user experience. Our approach was implemented and validated using a real use case, the application Animati Viewer, which is a web visualizer for diagnostic images. The evaluation was measured using metrics such as the accumulated amount of network transferred data and the amount of memory used in the host device. The results show that our approach is feasible and, in one of our tests, it transferred only 7.73% of the amount of data downloaded by the OsiriX mobile.
