To meet the demand of rotating mechanism for self-powered monitoring system, piezoelectric energy generator (PEG) excited by the magnetic coupling force between rotating magnet fixed on a rotator and one magnet fixed on piezo-beam under different holding condition was presented. The influence of holding conditions (both sides holding, free holding, right side holding and left side holding) and rotating speed on energy generation of the PEG was investigated experimentally. The research results show that the holding condition exerts great influence on the peak voltage and the relative optimal rotating speeds at speed range of 0 to 1200 r/min under one magnet fixed on the end of the piezo-beam and one rotating magnet. Taking a example, when the configuration mode of rotating magnet and the fixed magnet is attract, under free holding the achieved peek voltages from the PEG are 23.6/49.6/69.2V at 300/336/456 r/min respectively. When rotating magnet and the fixed magnet attracting, under left side holding the achieved peek voltages from the PEG are 32.4/33.6/29.2V and under both sides holding the achieved peek voltages from the PEG are 16.4/16.4/16.8V at 300/336/456 r/min respectively.

In order to develop a device for the elderly on bed for long-term to do legs rehabilitation exercise, a small-sized magnetic hydro-cylinder without piston rod is researched. The finite element analysis software--Ansoft Maxwell and an experiment device developed by us are used to analyze and to research the magnetic coupling force performance, the effects of the arrangement of the magnet, the separation distance between the magnets and the magnet thickness on the cylinder performance. Finite element analysis and experimental results show that the cylinder wall thickness should be thinned under the premise of meeting the strength requirement, the magnets should be arranged in the reverse direction, the separation distance between the adjacent magnets should be set to 4 mm, the thickness of magnet should be set to about 10 mm. Under those conditions, the better performance of magnetic hydro-cylinder without piston rod can be gotten, and the miniaturization of the cylinder structure can be realized.

Giant magnetostrictive actuator (GMA) is a new type of vibration control driving device. Since it has a lot of nonlinear, its performance model has been can't descrip good. This paper describes the self-made physical design of GMA, develop the GMA performance research experiment. For different excitation voltage, GMA was studied respectively the dynamic response with or without the bias magnetic field. And according to the application of GMA,verified under the condition of have a bias current, the accuracy of the magnetic coupling force curve of the GMA. According to the results of the validation, its curve can better describe the dynamic performance of giant magnetostrictive actuator.
