Description of a new species of Uroseius Berlese based on deutonymph and female specimens from northern Spain is presented. Observations of some cuticular organs on idiosoma and legs are described for the first time for the genus. An attempt to notate idiosomal setae as in Gamasina mesostigmatid mites is made based on complete dorsal chaetome of larval and pronymphal instars of Uroseius and Apionoseius Berlese species. Uroseius acuminatus (C.L. Koch) is a new record for the Iberian Peninsula. General morphological and biological aspects of Uroseius are presented. A tentative key, provided for separation of the 15 deutonymphs and nine adult females of the world species of Uroseius, is given.

A new species, Reticulolaelaps caditanus n. sp., is described based on adult females found in an oothecal cell of Mantis religiosa. The species has several morphological characteristics, including the presence of presternal shields, endopodal III-IV widely connected with sternal shield, 50 pairs of dorsal setae and at least 11 setae x, curly and barbed, and thin and smooth ventral setae including six pairs of setae on the genitoventral shield. A revised diagnosis of the genus with the addition of new characters and a key to the world species of the genus are provided.

A new species of soft scale insect (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Coccidae) in the genus Pulvinaria Targioni Tozzetti, 1866 is recorded from Yunnan, China on Pistacia chinensis Bunge. Pulvinaria pistaciae Cao & Feng sp. n. is described and illustrated, based on adult female morphology. Pulvinaria decorata Borchsenius, 1957 is recorded for the first time from China (Henan and Shaanxi). A key to the adult females of Pulvinaria species known to occur in China is provided, and a table to show their distributions in various zoogeographical regions in China.

Currently, 16 species of the genus Ooceraea Roger, 1862 are known from the Oriental, Australian and Oceanian realms, but no identified species have ever been recorded from Thailand. Here Ooceraea siamensis sp. n. is described from Thailand based on the worker and dealate queen. The new species is most similar to O. biroi (Forel, 1907), a species widely distributed across tropical and subtropical regions of the world, but can be distinguished from the latter by postpetiole slightly longer than broad in dorsal view (clearly shorter than broad in O. biroi), by foveae on first gastral tergite and sternite denser and coarser (weak in O. biroi), and by smaller size (head width in new species 0.33–0.38 mm while in O. biroi 0.46–0.49 mm). The type series of the new species was collected from a colony in soil and partly in a coconut seed. Ooceraea duadridentata Yamada, Luong et Eguchi, 2018 is recorded from Thailand for the first time.

AbstractThe foliicolous genus Phylloblastia is recorded for the first time in the Iberian Peninsula where it is represented by three species: P. fortuita sp. nov. from several localities in the north-east of Spain, P. dispersa, a new record for Europe and reported for the first time outside the tropics, and P. inexpectata. A key to the European species is provided.

The genus Agrisius Walker (1855) is reported for the first time in Cambodia, for the new species Agrisius nigripunctata sp. n. Additionally, Agrisius fuliginosus is reported for the first time in Laos, Myanmar, China, Thailand and Vietnam. Illustrations of the adult and genitalia of Agrisius nigripunctata sp. n. and A. fuliginosus Moore are presented.

The E. ovina group of species is proposed here to include Edessa ovina Dallas, 1851 from Trinidad and Tobago, Colombia, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina (new records) and Guyana; E. impura Bergroth, 1891 from Brazil and Argentina (new record); E. sahlbergii Stål, 1872 restricted to Brazil; and E. graziae sp. nov. from Brazil and Argentina. The E. ovina group can be identified by the apex of the second pair of wings narrowing distally and by a tumid area on the ventral surface of the pygophore (male genitalia) projected posteriorly. Descriptions, measurements, and illustrations of the metasternal process, external and internal genitalia of male and female are provided. A map with the distribution of the species is presented. The holotype of Edessa ovina is designated here. Edessa argali Breddin, 1903 is considered a junior synonym of E. impura. Females of E. ovina and E. impura, and male of E. sahlbergii are described for the first time.

The new species, Bulbophyllum manhdatii (B. sect. Brachyantha) discovered in Da Lat Plateau, Lam Dong Province (southern Vietnam) is described here. This new species is close to B. pumilio but clearly differs in densely crowded pseudobulbs and their shape, shorter inflorescence, lateral sepals forming a narrow acute tube slightly flattened at the base, lip without median keel, and longer stelidia. In addition, a new national record, B. seidenfadenii, from the same section is also reported from the first time from North Vietnam.
