In studies conducted in the last 30 years, different types of virtual labs were applied to different study groups using very different methods and techniques. The aim of this study is to evaluate the virtual labs used in teaching physics in terms of the purpose of use, working groups, methods, and techniques using the content analysis method based on a literature review conducted. The results of the application, which is aimed at the selection and use of virtual physics lab programs that offer very different designs, scopes, and means of application and at the adaptation of such programs to the target audience by educators, as well as at provision of a means for measurement and evaluation, will be analyzed. By examining the data thus obtained in terms of the subject matter, method, and outcome, it will be possible to assist the parties who will utilize the virtual physics laboratory programs in teaching physics to use such programs with expected efficiency.

A particularly important aspect of learning physics is using models of physical objects, processes and phenomena. Modeling is an important component of learning and cognitive activity. This determines its importance for the formation and development of students’ knowledge and skills. The Physics Education Technology (PhET) project creates useful simulations for teaching and learning physics and makes them freely available on the PhET web site: http://phet.colorado.edu The simulations are interactive, animated and visual. Some ideas for their using in physics education are presented. They can be used in various of ways, including demonstration experiment as part of lecture, student group work or individual worksheets, homework assignments or labs. The possibility for using simulations in remote education is considered. Students are given interactive assignments. They include interactive problems in the form of computer simulation and questions related to it. The students work with data which they analyze and present tabular and graphically. This approach suggest activities based on enquiry. In result their motivation and interest in physics increases.

This article aims to determine the influence of online learning with virtual labs on the learning interest of students ' physics and to know the influence of online learning with virtual labs on cognitive learning outcomes of student physics. This type of research is a quasi experiment with the experimental design of one group Pretests posttest. This research sample is a student of class X MIPA 1 which amounted 33 people determined with simple random sampling technique. The instruments used in this study are cognitive learning results test and Angket learning interest learners. Data analysis results can be concluded that there is a virtual lab-assisted online learning influence to the learning interest of learners with a value of sig (2-tailed) smaller than 0.05 (0.0063 < 0.05) and there is a virtual lab-assisted online learning influence to the outcome of the students ' cognitive learning with a sig (2-tailed) value smaller than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05).
