ABSTRACT We report here the draft genome sequences of four bla KPC -containing bacteria identified as Klebsiella aerogenes , Citrobacter freundii , and Citrobacter koseri . Additionally, we report the draft genome sequence of a K. aerogenes strain that did not contain a bla KPC gene but was isolated from the patient who had the bla KPC-2 -containing K. aerogenes strain.

Here, we describe the draft genome sequences of three strains of Citrobacter isolated from feces of preterm neonates with suspected sepsis. Strains P106E PI and P079F I were Citrobacter freundii. Strain P080C CL represents the first draft genome sequence of Citrobacter murliniae.

ABSTRACT Recently, we reported the draft genome sequence of Streptococcus gallolyticus NTS31106099. It was found to contain a previously unknown putative Tn916-like conjugative transposon, Tn6263. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of two other clinical isolates, NTS31301958 and NTS31307655. Both of them contain another novel element, Tn6331, which is highly similar to Tn6263.

ABSTRACT Actinomyces sp. strain Chiba101, isolated from an arthritic leg joint of a pig raised in Japan, is a bacterium closely related to Actinomyces denticolens. Here, we deciphered the complete genome sequence of Actinomyces sp. Chiba101 and the high-quality draft genome sequence of A. denticolens DSM 20671T.

Here, we report the 5.2-Mb genome sequence of a bioflocculant-producing bacterial strain, Citrobacter freundii IFO 13545, which consists of 5,209,670 bp with a G+C content of 51.5% and 4,853 predicted coding sequences (CDSs). The genes related to the biosynthetic pathway of the bioflocculant were localized on the genome map.

Clostridioides difficile hypervirulent clade 2 lineages are the major lineages responsible for the outbreaks in North America and Europe. However, the genome sequences of Japanese isolates are scarcely available. Herein, we report the draft genome sequence of C. difficile strain TMD0138 sequence type 97 (ST97), belonging to hypervirulent clade 2, isolated in Japan.

Here, we present high-quality metagenome-assembled genome sequences of two closely related deltaproteobacterial endosymbionts from the gutless marine worm Olavius algarvensis (Annelida). The first is an improved draft genome sequence of the previously described sulfate-reducing symbiont Delta1. The second is from a closely related, recently discovered symbiont of O. algarvensis.

ABSTRACT Here, we report the draft genome sequences of Campylobacter jejuni CAM970 and C. coli CAM962, which were associated with a large outbreak of foodborne illness originating from undercooked chicken sushi in Fukuoka, Japan, in May 2016. Their genome sizes were 1,690,901 and 1,704,736 bp, with 22 and 23 rRNAs, 9 and 9 tRNAs, and 411× and 419× coverage for C. jejuni CAM970 and C. coli CAM962, respectively.

ABSTRACT Here, we present the draft genome sequences of nine multidrug-resistant Escherichia coli strains isolated from humans (n = 6) and chicken carcasses (n = 3) from Lagos, Nigeria, in 2013. Multiple extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) genes were identified in these isolates.
