Phialemoniopsis curvata D216 is a filamentous fungus isolated from contaminated diesel fuel. The genome size is 40.3 Mbp with a G+C content of 54.81%. Its genome encodes enzymes and pathways likely involved in the degradation of and survival in fuel, including lipases, fatty acid transporters, and beta oxidation.

Penicillium sclerotiorum is a distinctive species within the genus Penicillium that usually produces vivid orange to red colonies, sometimes with colorful sclerotia. Here, we report the first draft genome sequence of P. sclerotiorum strain 113, isolated in 2013 in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy from a flooded home in New Jersey.

ABSTRACT Byssochlamys sp. isolate BYSS01 (anamorph, Paecilomyces sp.), which was isolated from jet fuel, is highly adapted to grow in hydrocarbons, having predicted genes involved in degradation of n -alkanes, branched alkanes, and aromatic compounds. The draft genome size is estimated at 29 Mb, containing 8,509 proteins.

The filamentous fungus Aspergillus niger has become one of the most important fungi in industrial biotechnology, and it can efficiently secrete both polysaccharide-degrading enzymes and organic acids. We report here the 6,074,961,332-bp draft sequence of A. niger strain An76, and the findings provide important information related to its lignocellulose-degrading ability.

Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Pseudorhodobacter sp. strain E13, a Gram-negative, aerobic, nonflagellated, and rod-shaped bacterium which was isolated from the Yellow Sea in South Korea. The assembled genome sequence is 3,878,578 bp long with 3,646 protein-coding sequences in 159 contigs.
