Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is an emerging opportunistic pathogen that is frequently associated with hospital infections. We report the 4.8-Mbp draft genome sequence of the oxidase-positive S. maltophilia strain N0320, an isolate from a commercial hydroxyapatite nanoparticle product.

ABSTRACT Streptococcus agalactiae is a bovine pathogen that causes intramammary infections. For humans, S. agalactiae is a leading cause of neonatal death and an emerging pathogen in adults. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of S. agalactiae TA B490, a multidrug-resistant strain isolated from bovine mastitis in Argentina.

ABSTRACTAfter the introduction of the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine in Malaysia in recent years, the emergence of nonvaccine serotypes is of concern, particularly the antibiotic-resistant strains, with an increase specifically in serotype 15A. Here, we report the draft genome sequence ofStreptococcus pneumoniaestrain SS40_16, isolated from the blood sample of a 19-month-old female in 2016. SS40_16 is a multidrug-resistant strain with resistance to penicillin (MIC, ≥2 µg/ml), tetracycline, and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. The strain belongs to serotype 15A and sequence type 1591 (ST1591).

ABSTRACT Pathogenic microorganisms associated with avian nests may detrimentally impact parental health and nest success for the nest primary users, potentially neighboring avian or terrestrial species, including humans. Here, we report the genome sequence of Enterococcus faecalis strain PM01, isolated from a failed nest of American bushtits, Psaltriparius minimus.

We report here the draft genome sequence of a Klebsiella pneumoniae strain 1194/11, belonging to the hospital-associated sequence type 340 (ST340; clonal complex CC258), isolated from a catheter tip culture from a pediatric patient. The multidrug-resistant strain coproduced the 16S rRNA methyltransferase rRNA RmtG and β-lactamases KPC-2 and CTX-M-15.

ABSTRACT Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae strain 9120005127 was isolated from a wound infection. We describe the draft genome sequence and antibiotic susceptibility of this strain.
