ABSTRACT Bacillus cereus strain Q1 was isolated from a deep-subsurface oil reservoir in the Daqing oil field in northeastern China. This strain is able to produce biosurfactants and to survive in extreme environments. Here we report the finished and annotated genome sequence of this organism.

ABSTRACT Bacillus cereus is a Gram-positive rod-shaped spore-forming bacterium widespread in different environmental niches. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Bacillus cereus VKM B-370 from the All-Russian Collection of Microorganisms, the host strain for bacteriophages vB_BtS_B83, vB_BcM_Sam46, vB_BcM_Sam112, and Izhevsk.

Geobacillus thermoglucosidasiusstrain W-2 is a thermophilic bacterium isolated from a deep-subsurface oil reservoir in northern China, which is capable of degrading organosulfur compounds. Here, we report the draft genome sequence ofG. thermoglucosidasiusstrain W-2, which may help to elucidate the genetic basis of biodegradation of organosulfur pollutants under heated conditions.
