ABSTRACT Bacillus cereus is a Gram-positive rod-shaped spore-forming bacterium widespread in different environmental niches. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Bacillus cereus VKM B-370 from the All-Russian Collection of Microorganisms, the host strain for bacteriophages vB_BtS_B83, vB_BcM_Sam46, vB_BcM_Sam112, and Izhevsk.

ABSTRACT Bacillus subtilis is a Gram-positive bacterium that serves as an important experimental system. B. subtilis NCIB 3610 is an undomesticated strain that exhibits phenotypes lost from the more common domesticated laboratory strains. Here, we announce the complete genome sequence of DK1042, a genetically competent derivative of NCIB 3610.

ABSTRACT Lactobacillus acidipiscis is a Gram-positive lactic acid bacterium belonging to the Lactobacillus salivarius clade. Here, we present the first complete genome sequence of L. acidipiscis isolated from traditional Greek Kopanisti cheese. Strain ACA-DC 1533 may play a key role in the strong organoleptic characteristics of Kopanisti cheese.

Bacillus cereus PgBE311, isolated from the root tissue of a 5-year-old Panax ginseng plant, showed activities against the fungal pathogens Cylindrocarpon destructans and Botrytis cinerea. Here, we report the genome sequence of B. cereus PgBE311.

We isolated the soil bacterium strain PL1 and herein report its complete genome sequence. The strain presented 97% average nucleotide identity (ANI) to Bacillus cereus and 91% ANIs to other members of the B. cereus group, indicating that it is affiliated with B. cereus.

ABSTRACT Bacillus cereus C1L, a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium, provides protection against fungal pathogens in monocot plants. To gain new insights into the biocontrol mechanisms used by this rhizobacterium, we determined the complete genome sequence of B. cereus C1L. One chromosome and three plasmids were identified with a total size of ~6.0 Mb.

ABSTRACT The genus Curtobacterium belongs to the family Microbacteriaceae, within the phylum Actinobacteria. This genus includes a wide range of Gram-positive species associated with plants and soils. Here, we report the genome sequence of a new strain, Curtobacterium sp. strain YC1, which was isolated from the surface of Nostoc flagelliforme colonies. The genome of this strain contains one chromosome and one plasmid, and its size is 3.4 Mb.

ABSTRACT We report here the complete genome sequence of a Bacillus cereus isolate identified in a soil sample from Namibia. This isolate is closely related to the B. anthracis clade. While the plasmids (500 and 12 kb) carry no detectable B. anthracis virulence gene, the large plasmid shares a 50-kb continuous region similar to plasmid pXO1.

Bombyx morinucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV) is a typical species ofBaculoviridae. The complete genome sequence of a BmNPV strain with cubic occlusion bodies is reported here. The genome of this strain consists of 127,465 nucleotides with a G+C content of 40.36% and is 97.3% and 97.5% identical to those of BmNPV strain T3 andBombyx mandarinaNPV S1, respectively. Despite the abnormal polyhedra it forms, thepolyhedringene of the BmNPV cubic strain is 100% identical to those of the other two strains. Baculovirus repeated ORFs and homologous repeat regions cause the major differences in genome size of these BmNPV isolates.

Malassezia restricta, one of the predominant basidiomycetous yeasts present on human skin, is involved in scalp disorders. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the lipophilic Malassezia restricta CBS 7877 strain, which will facilitate the study of the mechanisms underlying its commensal and pathogenic roles within the skin microbiome.
