The use of the steel with low carbon and fine grain Cr-Mo type is asked by the necessity to fit high strength and plasticity characteristics. The paper emphasizes the quenched and tempered high strength pipes from groups II, III and IV API 5 CT obtaining. The laboratory experiments followed the establishment of optimum values of the heat treatment parameters. Saying all these to ensure the obtaining of the mechanical characteristics specific to eachs grade that was to be obtained. Were used microalloyied steels with vanadium and columbium, that refined the structure of improved the materials toughness. The paper is determined hardenability and finishing elements influence the use of grain (V, Nb) on hardenability.

Welding is a fabrication or sculptural process that joints the materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, by inducing fusion. It is as distinct process from lower temperature metal-joining techniques such as brazing and soldering, to high temperature welding process and this process keep the base metal from melted. In addition, to melt the base metal, a filler material is typically added to the joint to form a pool of molten material that cools at room temperature, forming a joint that is usually stronger than the base material. Pressure may also be used along with heat, or by itself, to produce a weldment. The current study presents the effects of distortion that occurred in single-V and single bevel welded mild steel. It also includes the macro and microstructure analysis, mechanical properties and also the consumable usage along the time needed to complete the bevel and welding process. As a result, single- V is way more safe and reliable to use to withhold large load compare to single bevel. In term of financial, single bevel way more ahead.

The influence of Electron Beam welding technique on the microstructure, mechanical and magnetic properties of low carbon steels was presented and evaluated. Samples with dimensions of 12 cm x 6 cm x 1.5 mm were prepared from stock plate, installed on the welding table and welded at welding speeds and pulsed currents following a predesigned protocol. In order to examine the influence of welding on the magnetizing behavior of low carbon steel, magnetic Barkhausen noise were conducted on the surface of the welded samples. The results were further evaluated by examining the microstructure and mechanical properties of the welded samples by using scanning electron microscopy and micro-hardness measurements, respectively.
