In order to study temperature effect on initial curve of main cable, three different temperature models were built about temperature changes of main cable along span direction, and iteration calculation methods to find initial curve of main cable in variable temperature field was proposed based on the theory that the length of non-stress wire strand is persistence in unloaded cable station and construction completion station. The catenary equation in variable temperature field was deduced and the suspender length variation as well as horizontal component of cable forces were calculated based on the catenary equation. Taking some suspension bridge for an example, suspender length variation, horizontal component of the cable forces and node coordinate under three different temperature models were calculated by iteration calculation methods.

This paper analyzed temperature field and temperature stress of cement concrete pavement under periodic variable low temperature using finite element method modeling technique in ABAQUS. And discussed the effect of wind speed, surface thermal conductivity coefficient on temperature field. Cracking and warping at the joint of concrete panel was simulated to analyze pavement deformation and mechanical characteristics. Results show that at lower temperature, concrete face will appear horizontal longitudinal displacement, causing the appearance of cracking; and warping effect will appear at the concrete panel, leading to concrete pavement void. It is revealed that dowel bar has not occurred plastic deformation, that is, bending strength meets the requirements.

AbstractDeformation of an amorphous cobalt alloy of strip configuration in creep tests in a variable temperature field is studied. An analytical form of the creep curve is found, and a prediction calculation of the resistivity by means of the proposed creep function is carried out. The physical meaning of the parameters of the creep equation is established, and their dimensionality is found. It is shown that, under the action of a variable temperature field, the creep of the alloy is not Newtonian and the material under strain exhibits pseudoplastic properties. It was found that, in the absence of heating, the viscosity of amorphous strip alloys can be considered within the Bingham plastic model.

The paper discusses the case of an annular plate, being under the action of a radial variable temperature field, but constant on its thickness. In the conditions of the outside outline embedded and that inside free, the expressions of the radial and annular stresses, respectively the radial displacement relation, are specified. The loading is considered below the yield temperature value.
