This report presents a full-mouth rehabilitation case. A patient came with a failing dentition in maxilla, and after the treatment, the patient had a shortened full-arch, implant-supported, screw-retained hybrid acrylic complete denture in the maxilla and full-arch metal ceramic restorations in the mandible. The report describes the steps involved in the prosthodontic rehabilitation; a cost-effective treatment plan, the restoration of vertical dimension, an immediate denture, an implant-level impression, a verified-master cast, the fabrication of definitive prosthesis, the occlusal scheme and multiple follow-ups in 6 months. We discussed the merits/demerits of screw-retained prosthesis, impression techniques and various types of fixed complete dentures. We learnt the difficulty in hygiene measures and dissatisfaction of the patient with the hygienic gaps under the acrylic fixed dentures.

ABSTRACT Esthetic and functional rehabilitation of severely worn dentition presents a significant challenge to the restorative dentist. The prerequisites in restoring the worn dentition are to understand the determinants of the occlusal vertical dimension and the effects of its alteration on the temporomandibular joint, muscle comfort, bite force, speech and long-term occlusal stability. This clinical report describes a sequential treatment procedure of full mouth rehabilitation of a patient with severe attrition and cervical abrasion of teeth with metal-ceramic restorations and implant supported fixed dental prosthesis after establishing a functional and esthetic vertical dimension and occlusal plane. ABSTRACT The lack of retention in complete dentures is a common complaint. The incorporation of the tooth supported overdenture in prosthodontics offers improvements related to patient satisfaction and masticatory capacity compared to the conventional complete denture. Retention of the roots of one or more teeth for overdenture offers the patient a lot of advantages like better stability, proprioception and support among a few. When rehabilitation with a fixed/removable implant- supported prosthesis is not a possible option due to medical contraindication or financial constraints, a tooth supported over denture retained and stabilized with attachment can be proposed as a reliable and cost effective treatment for denture patients. This article presents a clinical report where the O-ring attachment along with bar is used to aid in retention and stability of a maxillary tooth supported overdenture. Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is a cost-effective treatment for osteoarthritis (OA), and osteolysis is a common complication of THA. This study was aimed at exploring the relevant molecular biomarkers for osteolysis after THA. We performed RNA sequence to identify and characterize expressed mRNAs and lncRNAs in OA and osteolysis. Differentially expressed mRNAs (DEmRNAs) and lncRNAs (DElncRNAs) in OA and osteolysis were acquired, as well as shared DEmRNAs/DElncRNAs in OA and osteolysis and osteolysis-specific DEmRNAs/DElncRNAs. Then, shared and osteolysis-specific DElncRNA-DEmRNA coexpression networks were constructed to further investigate the function of DElncRNAs and DEmRNAs in OA and osteolysis. In total, 343 DEmRNAs and 25 DElncRNAs in OA, 908 DEmRNAs and 107 DElncRNAs in osteolysis, and 406 DEmRNAs and 46 DElncRNAs between OA and osteolysis were acquired. A total of 136 shared DEmRNAs and 9 shared DElncRNAs in OA and osteolysis and 736 osteolysis-specific DEmRNAs and 103 osteolysis-specific DElncRNAs were acquired. Then, 128 shared DElncRNA-DEmRNA coexpression pairs and 522 osteolysis-specific DElncRNA-DEmRNA coexpression pairs were identified. The present study highlighted the roles of four interaction pairs, including two shared lncRNA-mRNA interaction pairs in OA and osteolysis (AC111000.4 and AC016831.6), which may function in the immune process of OA and osteolysis by regulating CD8A and CD8B, respectively, and two osteolysis-specific interaction pairs (AC090607.4-FOXO3 and TAL1-ABALON), which may play an important role in osteoclastogenesis.
