Abstract Carpenter Project 70+ Type 304/304L is a modified version of Type 304/304L stainless steel with improved machinability when compared to conventional 304 (Alloy Digest SS-418, revised September 1997) and 304L (Alloy Digest SS-513, revised November 1997). The alloys are nonhardenable austenitic chromium-nickel steels and are good general-purpose materials for simple and complex parts. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, and elasticity. Heavy minerals in Ordovician successions in western Ireland record, in the Upper Arenig Sheeffry Formation, the erosion of an ophiolite/island arc complex. The appearance of staurolite and garnet at a basin-wide horizon in the Lower Llanvirn Upper Derrylea Formation signals the unroofing of the Dalradian metamorphic complex. Parts of the Ordovician sequence on Inishturk and in two small inliers are correlated with the standard sequence with unexpected results. The garnet-, sillimanite-, and staurolite-bearing Letter Formation correlates with the Upper Derrylea Formation and, on Inishturk, heavy minerals in south-younging turbidites reveal a sinistral ramp zone, that places the Sheeffry Formation structurally above and to the south of the younger Derrylea Formation.

For designing forging and die tooling for bulk forging a necessity in using the data of the geometry of the part produced arises. Obviously, the use as a data source for designing drawings of commonly applied in “manual alternate design” (without a computer) especially such complex parts as compressor blades is not perspective because of the complexity of developing theoretical contour specified by a point cloud. In this case the use of special tooling of direct modeling that provides changing the original model of the part developed by the designers is a perspective one. It should be taken into account during the process of forging and die tooling designing that it is necessary to register the special features of the technology, upon that, the technologist should be highly proficient in using the software. The work given describes the designing technique of gas turbine compressor blade with the account of using the potential of NX Siemens program.
