Analysis of quantum-mechanical states of the ring-shaped Mie-type diatomic molecular model via the Fisher's information

Recently, the information theory of quantum-mechanical systems has aroused the interest of many theoretical physicists. This is due to the fact that it provides a deeper insight into the internal structure of the system. Also, it is the strongest support of the modern quantum computation and information, which is a basic theory for numerous technological developments. This study reports the solution of Schrödinger equation with the ring-shaped Mie-type potential. The rotational-vibrational spectroscopic study of some few selected diatomic molecules are given. The probability distribution density of the system which gives the probability density for observing the electron in the state characterized by the quantum numbers (n, l, m) in the ring-shaped Mie-type potential is obtained. Finally, the analysis for this distribution via a complementary information measures of a probability distribution known as the Fisher's information have been presented.

<div>Understanding the nature of the interatomic interactions present within the pores of metal-organic frameworks</div><div>is critical in order to design and utilize advanced materials</div><div>with desirable applications. In ZIF-8 and its cobalt analogue</div><div>ZIF-67, the imidazolate methyl-groups, which point directly</div><div>into the void space, have been shown to freely rotate - even</div><div>down to cryogenic temperatures. Using a combination of ex-</div><div>perimental terahertz time-domain spectroscopy, low-frequency</div><div>Raman spectroscopy, and state-of-the-art ab initio simulations,</div><div>the methyl-rotor dynamics in ZIF-8 and ZIF-67 are fully charac-</div><div>terized within the context of a quantum-mechanical hindered-</div><div>rotor model. The results lend insight into the fundamental</div><div>origins of the experimentally observed methyl-rotor dynamics,</div><div>and provide valuable insight into the nature of the weak inter-</div><div>actions present within this important class of materials.</div>

The information theoretic concepts are crucial to study the quantum mechanical systems. In this paper, the information densities of [Formula: see text]-symmetric potential have been demonstrated and their properties deeply analyzed. The position space and momentum space information entropy is obtained and Bialynicki-Birula–Mycielski inequality is saturated for different parameters of the potential. Some interesting features of information entropy have been discussed. The variation in these entropies is described which gets saturated for specific values of the parameter. These have also been analyzed for the [Formula: see text]-symmetry breaking case. Further, the entropy squeezing phenomenon has been investigated in position space as well as momentum space. Interestingly, [Formula: see text] phase transition conjectures the entropy squeezing in position space and momentum space.

This article analyses the use of coercive measures in two national institutions for high-security psychiatry in Norway – Kriminalasylet (Criminal Asylum) and Reitgjerdet – during the period 1895–1978. Historical study of coercion in psychiatry is a fruitful approach to new insight into the moral and ethical considerations within the institutions. We approach the topic through a qualitative study of patient case files and ward reports from the institutions’ archives, as well as a comprehensive quantification of the coercive measures used. The data show shifting considerations of humane treatment and changes in the respect for human dignity in the institutions’ practices. They also show that technological developments, such as the introduction of new psychopharmaceuticals, did not necessarily lead to higher standards of treatment.
