It had been predicted that by 2020, nearly 26 billion devices would be connected to the Internet, with a big percentage being vehicles. The Internet of Vehicles (IoVa) is a concept that refers to the connection and cooperation of smart vehicles and devices in a network through the generation, transmission, and processing of data that aims at improving traffic congestion, travel time, and comfort, all the while reducing pollution and accidents. However, this transmission of sensitive data (e.g., location) needs to occur with defined security properties to safeguard vehicles and their drivers since attackers could use this data. Blockchain is a fairly recent technology that guarantees trust between nodes through cryptography mechanisms and consensus protocols in distributed, untrustful environments, like IoV networks. Much research has been done in implementing the former in the latter to impressive results, as Blockchain can cover and offer solutions to many IoV problems. However, these implementations have to deal with the challenge of IoV node’s resource constraints since they do not suffice for the computational and energy requirements of traditional Blockchain systems, which is one of the biggest limitations of Blockchain implementations in IoV. Finally, these two technologies can be used to build the foundations for smart cities, enabling new application models and better results for end-users.

With the development of smart vehicles and various vehicular applications, Vehicular Edge Computing (VEC) paradigm has attracted from academic and industry. Compared with the cloud computing platform, VEC has several new features, such as the higher network bandwidth and the lower transmission delay. Recently, vehicular computation-intensive task offloading has become a new research field for the vehicular edge computing networks. However, dynamic network topology and the bursty computation tasks offloading, which causes to the computation load unbalancing for the VEC networking. To solve this issue, this paper proposed an optimal control-based computing task scheduling algorithm. Then, we introduce software defined networking/OpenFlow framework to build a software-defined vehicular edge networking structure. The proposed algorithm can obtain global optimum results and achieve the load-balancing by the virtue of the global load status information. Besides, the proposed algorithm has strong adaptiveness in dynamic network environments by automatic parameter tuning. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the utilization of computation resources and meet the requirements of computation and transmission delay for various vehicular tasks.

Covid-19 has had a significant impact on the disruption of the global economic sector, including for startup businesses. This encourages entrepreneurs to carry out a continuous innovation process to become more ambidextrous and continue to innovate in an effort to futureproof their business. The paper aims to provide a business resilience framework by exploring capability (innovation ambidexterity, dynamic capability, and technology capability), behavior (agile leadership), and knowledge (knowledge stock) in startup businesses. This study uses a literature review synthesis to gain a greater understanding of startup resilience and its implementation. This study also uses a case study approach in building a framework by obtaining data from semi-structured interviews with three startups owners in Indonesia. This preliminary research has identified four propositions that will be used to develop questionnaires and data collection instruments. Thus, this study provides new insights on how startups can overcome contradictory pressures for business resilience in anticipating, dealing with, and emerging from business turbulence due to the Covid-19 pandemic by considering the factors proposed in this study. The implications and recommendations of this study are also discussed in detail.

Abstract Background Worldwide 10-20% of children and adolescents experience mental disorders (MD). Half of all mental illnesses begin by the age of 14 and three-quarters by mid-20s. As adolescents move from child to adult-centered care, they should be encouraged to implement a proactive mental health strategy. Pediatrician have the potential to be an important gateway to MHP. The healthcare coordination may be affected by contextual constraints such as lack of time and the reluctance of the adolescents to seek help for MD. Adopting a resilience framework, we aimed to develop a psychoeducational toolkit to optimize the contact between the adolescents and their pediatrician. Methods We first collected pediatricians needs in a focus group and systematically searched in the literature for components of interventions that are effective in the MHP. We selected a previously developed toolkit, that we aimed to optimize and adapt culturally. The adapted toolkit was then evaluated by adolescents in two focus groups. We took their feedback into account when finalizing the toolkit. Results The psychoeducational toolkit “Take care of yourself” is a resource for adolescents to recognize risks for MD. It comprises ten topics that are central to MHP: myths and facts about MD, dealing with stress, love and loss, unhealthy relationships, separation, grief, online addiction, drugs, helping others, confidentiality, rights and obligations and useful websites. Analyses of the focus groups showed that adolescents and pediatricians evaluated the toolkit as appealing and helpful. Conclusions This toolkit provides a resource for adolescents to address mental health problems. It aims to increase MHP in PPC and to contribute to the destigmatization of MD. In a next step, we plan to test the effectiveness of this psychoeducational tool.
