This paper studies the finite-time synchronization problem for a class of complex dynamical networks by means of periodically intermittent control. Based on some analysis techniques and finite-time stability theory, some novel and effective finite-time synchronization criteria are given in terms of a set of linear matrix inequalities. Particularly, the previous synchronization problem by using periodically intermittent control has been extended in this paper. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to verify the theoretical results.

This paper is concerned with the global finite-time and fixed-time synchronization for a class of discontinuous complex dynamical networks with semi-Markovian switching and mixed time-varying delays. The novel state-feedback controllers, which include integral terms and discontinuous facts, are designed to realize the global synchronization between the drive system and response system. By applying the Lyapunov functional method and matrix inequality analysis technique, the global finite-time and fixed-time synchronization conditions are addressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed control scheme and the validity of theoretical results.

This paper investigates the exponential synchronization problem of delayed coupled dynamical networks by using adaptive pinning periodically intermittent control. Based on the Lyapunov method, by designing adaptive feedback controller, some sufficient conditions are presented to ensure the exponential synchronization of coupled dynamical networks with delayed coupling. Furthermore, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the validity of the theoretical results.

Some existing papers focused on finite-time parameter identification and synchronization, but provided incomplete theoretical analyses. Such works incorporated conflicting constraints for parameter identification, therefore, the practical significance could not be fully demonstrated. To overcome such limitations, the underlying paper presents new results of parameter identification and synchronization for uncertain complex dynamical networks with impulsive effect and stochastic perturbation based on finite-time stability theory. Novel results of parameter identification and synchronization control criteria are obtained in a finite time by utilizing Lyapunov function and linear matrix inequality respectively. Finally, numerical examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of our theoretical results.

AbstractThis paper investigates the drive-response synchronization problem of Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy hidden Markov jump complex dynamical networks. More precisely, a novel asynchronous synchronization control strategy is developed for coping with mismatched hidden jumping modes. Furthermore, the neural network is adopted with online learning laws for unknown function approximation. By taking advantage of Lyapunov method, sufficient conditions are established to ensure mean-square synchronization performance with disturbances. Based on the synchronization criterion, asynchronous controller gains are designed in terms of linear matrix inequalities. An illustrative example is finally given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed synchronization techniques.

This paper investigates the synchronization of complex dynamical networks with coupling delays and external disturbances by applying local feedback injections to a small fraction of nodes in the whole network. Based onH∞control theory, some delay-independent and -dependent synchronization criteria with a prescribedH∞disturbances attenuation index are derived for such controlled networks in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which guarantee that by placing a small number of feedback controllers on some nodes, the whole network can be pinned to reach network synchronization. A simulation example is included to validate the theoretical results.

This paper mainly considers the finite-time synchronization problem of fuzzy inertial cellular neural networks (FICNNs) with time-varying delays. By constructing the suitable Lyapunov functional, and using integral inequality techniques, several sufficient criteria have been proposed to ensure the finite-time synchronization for the addressed (FICNNs). Without applying the known finite-time stability theorem, which is widely used to solve the finite-time synchronization problems for (FICNNs). In this paper, the proposed method is relatively convenient to solve finite-time synchronization problem of the addressed system, this paper extends the research works on the finite-time synchronization of (FICNNs). Finally, numerical simulations illustrated verify the effectiveness of the proposed results.

This paper investigates the finite-time synchronization of complex dynamical networks with nondelayed and delayed coupling. By designing a simple continuous function controller, sufficient criteria for finite-time synchronization of dynamical networks with nondelayed and delayed coupling are obtained. As a special case, the continuous function controller designed in this paper may be the simplest and easy to implement for the finite-time synchronization of dynamical networks without delay. Finally, numerical simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the conclusions presented in this paper.
