The existence of the weak interlayer of the rock slope changes its mechanical characteristics. To ensure the safety of the slope, it is necessary to analyze the overall stability of the slope. Taking the double-layer weak interlayer rock slope beside 318 National Road in Qiyue Mountain, Hubei Province, as an example, a slope model with a weak interlayer was established through GTS software, and the model was imported into FLAC3D for calculation, and the deformation of the slope by the double-layer soft interlayer was studied. The influence of characteristics and safety factors reveals the controlling effect of the double-layer weak interlayer on the stability of the slope and its failure mode. The potential sliding surface of the slope is determined to be the lower weak interlayer, and the weak interlayer after the anchor cable reinforcement is carried out. Numerical analysis shows that the reasonable application of anchor cables significantly improves slope stability. The research results can provide reference significance for slope stability analysis of similar projects.

The rock slope stability analysis is a challenging task in geotechnical engineering. The metasedimentary cut slope at Putrajaya-Cyberjaya Link was assessed using Slope Mass Rating (SMR) system in this study. The results of SMR calculation obtained in this study is 23.3. The results shows that, the slope stability class obtained is IV and the cut slope of the study area is in bad condition. The stability is known to be unstable and the probability of failure is 0.6 or 60%.

This paper carries out stability analysis on plate-cone reticulated shell considering geometrical nonlinearity of cooperating work between plates and members. In this paper, stability behavior of different kinds of plate-cone reticulated shell considering geometrical nonlinearity is analyzed by using the software ANSYS, tracking complete process balance path for load-displacement by using arc-length method, the several problems of plate-cone reticulated shell are studied, such as destruction mechanism, structural ductility, ultimate bearing capacity and strength reserve, some important conclusions are obtained. After analyzing the stability behavior of double-layer reticulated shell by ANSYS and comparing with plate-cone reticulated shell, it is proved that plate-cone reticulated shell is more advantageous than double-layer reticulated shell in the aspect of stability behavior.

The meshless methods are particularly suitable for modeling problems with discontinuities such as joints in rock mass. The meshless Shepard and least squares (MSLS) method is a newly developed meshless method, which overcomes some limitations with other meshless methods. In the present paper, the MSLS method is extended for modeling jointed rock mass and the joint is modeled as discontinuity governing the near-field stress. A substantial high rock slope by the dam shoulder of Jinping Hydropower Station is analyzed by the developed method. Safety factors are evaluated based on the stress results along potential slip surfaces and compared with the conventional slice methods. The results demonstrate the feasibility of using the MSLS method in rock slope stability analysis and also reveal some interesting differences from the conventional slice methods. Some findings and outstanding issues demonstrated in this study are discussed in the end, which can be the topics for future development.
