Security is one of the major concerns for data communication over wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Dynamic routing algorithms can provide small similarity paths of data delivery between two consecutive transmitted packets, improving data security without adding extra information or control messages. This article illustrates the iteration of the fixed point (FP) of rational contractions and generalized Banach contractions (BC) in the setting of F-metric space (F-MS). It also describes an FP of the said mappings, while restricting the imposition of the contraction only to a subset of the F-MS, the closed ball, rather than executing it on the entire F-MS. The results have been verified and supported by concise examples. Further, the application of the functional equation proved results with randomization is given to find a solution for secure dynamic routing of data transmission in WSNs. The application is a tool to analyze and model a network structure in which sensors can be deployed with high security and low risk in a greater region (sensor field), thus boosting the accuracy.

AbstractA quest for geographic routing schemes of wireless sensor networks when sensor nodes are deployed in areas with obstacles has resulted in numerous ingenious proposals and techniques. However, there is a lack of solutions for complicated cases wherein the source or the sink nodes are located close to a specific hole, especially in cavern-like regions of large complex-shaped holes. In this paper, we propose a geographic routing scheme to deal with the existence of complicated-shape holes in an effective manner. Our proposed routing scheme achieves routes around holes with the (1+$$\epsilon$$ ϵ )-stretch. Experimental results show that our routing scheme yields the highest load balancing and the most extended network lifetime compared to other well-known routing algorithms as well.

Wireless sensor networks are used in machine learning for data communication and classification. Sensor nodes in network suffer from low battery power, so it is necessary to reduce energy consumption. One way of decreasing energy utilization is reducing the information transmitted by an advanced machine learning process called support vector machine. Further, nodes in WSN malfunction upon the occurrence of malicious activities. To overcome these issues, energy conserving and faulty node detection WSN is proposed. SVM optimizes data to be transmitted via one-hop transmission. It sends only the extreme points of data instead of transmitting whole information. This will reduce transmitting energy and accumulate excess energy for future purpose. Moreover, malfunction nodes are identified to overcome difficulties on data processing. Since each node transmits data to nearby nodes, the misbehaving nodes are detected based on transmission speed. The experimental results show that proposed algorithm provides better results in terms of reduced energy consumption and faulty node detection.
