This article examines the history and operational underpinnings of forms of volumetric reconstruction based on the capture of visual data, particularly photogrammetry. Photogrammetry is one of the chief techniques currently employed in the production of virtual replicas for heritage conservation and audiovisual production. The computational realism resulting from this process induces the belief that it is possible to recover the totality of an object from its medial traces. The author analyses how his work, as well as those of other artists, challenge this technological promise by exploring the formal idiosyncrasies of photogrammetric models.

The article offers a re-examination of abjected femininity and old age through a close reading of The Taking of Deborah Logan (2015), a found footage horror movie centered on spectral possession. While to a large extent the movie replicates an infamous monstrous old woman trope, it also effectively questions typical Alzheimer's disease (AD) narratives, which tend to portray life with AD as a story of unmitigated loss and debility. In The Taking of Deborah Logan, potentially destabilizing moments occur when in the face of progressive loss of control, memory, and bodily functions, the main protagonist is momentarily experienced as resisting the dehumanisation and loss of agency conventionally associated with AD and possession alike. The aim of this article is thus three-fold. The first part sketches the processes through which possession narratives generate a highly ambivalent space for aging femininity in horror film, and how aging, disability, and AD intersect both in popular understanding and in film. In the second part, the author examines how The Taking of Deborah Logan, as a found footage horror, shapes a discussion about selfhood, agency, and monstrous embodiment. Finally, the author argues that it is through the concept of transaging that one can find ways to destabilise traditional understandings of old age, female embodiment, and AD, and offer new narratives that highlight monstrous, if ambivalent, agency.

Kata Kunci: iklan, perempuan, seksualitas, semiotika, tubuhABSTRACTThis research discusses body and sexuality of woman in Resik V and Sumber Ayuadvertising. Spesifically, the ads discussed here are Resik V Khasiat Manjakani in InnekeKoesherawati’s version and Sumber Ayu Sabun Daun Sirih in Dian Nitami’s version. This researchapplies semiotic approach in which the signs in textual and visual data are examined in thedennotatif and connotatif order. The aim of this research is that to find out how women’s bodyand sexuality are represented in Resik V and Sumber Ayu. This research shows that woman’sgenital organ is positioned as the representation of the whole woman’s Self. The description ofwomen’s sexuality in both advertisings points out several tendencies which are as follows. Firstly, woman is positioned as a person who is responsible to keep the marriage in harmony. Secondly, woman is pictured as person who guarrantees the fulfilment of man’s sexual desire. Thirdly, theads indicate a demand on woman to keep their body and sexuality young and fresh. It can also besaid that both Resik V and Sumber Ayu narrow the function of woman as wife who is in chargein serving their husband well and focus to highlight the domestic function of woman. Keywords: advertising, body, semiotics, sexuality, woman

Tal (mount) Irbid in Irbid city, Jordan, with its continuous human occupation from the Bronze Age until the present, demonstrates the main landmark that has guided the spread of the urban growth of the city. The outcome of studies carried out at Irbid’s historic core, in relation to assessing the loss and degradation of the core’s cultural heritage, shall be analyzed, investigated, and discussed, as also concerns, obstacles, and issues of sustainability to this urban heritage conservation and tourism planning. The paper starts by defining the urban heritage for the historic core, which tends to be set aside, in the city’s rapid development. Actually, the remaining historic buildings can also provide the necessary inter-relationships between the historic core areas and the wider urban context to achieve a sustainable and integrated tourism and conservation action plan for the three heritage neighborhoods around the Tal, while building on tourism opportunities and taking into consideration the needs and the vital role of the local community. The paper concludes that urban heritage conservation and protection of the integrity and identity of the historic core city fabric can assist in its branding, promotion, and management in ways that could enhance the local community belonging, quality of everyday lifestyle, and visitors' experience.

Abstract A high-resolution table-sized x-ray nanotomography (XRMT) tool has been constructed that shows the promise of nondestructively imaging the internal structure of a full IC stack with a spatial resolution better than 100 nm. Such a tool can be used to detect, localize, and characterize buried defects in the IC. By collecting a set of X-ray projections through the full IC (which may include tens of micrometers of silicon substrate and several layers of Cu interconnects) and applying tomographic reconstruction algorithms to these projections, a 3D volumetric reconstruction can be obtained, and analyzed for defects using 3D visualization software. XRMT is a powerful technique that will find use in failure analysis and IC process development, and may facilitate or supplant investigations using SEM, TEM, and FIB tools, which generally require destructive sample preparation and a vacuum environment.

The paper considers general approaches to image processing, analysis of visual data and computer vision. The main methods for detecting features and edges associated with these approaches are presented. A brief description of modern edge detection and classification algorithms suitable for isolating and characterizing the type of pathology in the lungs in medical images is also given.
