A New Species

Synochoneura is a small genus restricted to China. The genus is reviewed, and one new species is described: Synochoneura dentana sp. n. The female of S. tapaishani (Caradja) is reported for the first time. Images of adults, male genitalia, and female genitalia are provided, along with a key to the known species.

A new species Ypsolopha rhinolophi Corley is described from northern Portugal and south-east France. It resembles Y. alpella (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775) and Y. lucella (Fabricius, 1775) but shows clear differences from both species in DNA barcode and in male and female genitalia. Male genitalia of Y. lucella are illustrated for the first time. The new species has been collected at light, reared from larvae on Quercus pyrenaica Willd. and recognised from DNA barcode fragments obtained from droppings of horseshoe bats.

A New Species

The spider genus Austrochilus comprises only six species known from Chile and Argentina. Here, we describe a new species, Austrochilus parwis sp. n., based on a single male and several females. The new species was found in Chile (Region IX) and, based on characters in the male and female genitalia, seems to be closely related to A. forsteri Grismado, Lopardo & Platnick, 2003. The female genitalia were investigated using X-ray microscopy, revealing for the first time the internal organization of austrochiline female genitalia. Furthermore, we provide a comparative documentation of the male genitalia of austrochilines based mainly on type material, and comment on the recently proposed nomenclatorial changes to the family name Austrochilidae.

The genus Tineovertex Moriuti, 1982 is recorded for the first time from South China on the basis of two species: T. antidroma (Meyrick, 1931) and T. gladiata Huang, Hirowatari & Wang, sp. nov. The male and female genitalia of T. gladiata and the male genitalia of T. antidroma are illustrated for the first time. A key to Tineovertex species is provided along with distributional map of all nominal species.

The leafhopper genus Hylica Stål is reported from China for the first time with its type species H. paradoxa Stål; the male genitalia and the female ovipositor are described and illustrated for the first time. A new species, H. scutealba sp. n., from India is described and illustrated. A key to species of Hylica is provided. H. paradoxa is also recorded from Laos, Nepal, Thailand and Viet Nam for the first time.

A New Species

A new species of Enosis Mabille, 1889 from southern Brazil, E. ester Lemes, Mielke & Casagrande sp. nov, is described and illustrated. The new species is closely related to Enosis angularis (Möschler, 1877) but can be distinguishable by a set of characters on wings and male genitalia. An updated geographic distribution for E. angularis is given and illustrations of the female genitalia are provided for the first time.

A second species of the genus Amazobenna Penny, 1980, Amazobenna pennyi sp. nov., is described from the Brazil. The new species can be distinguished from Amazobenna reticulata Penny, 1980, the type species of the genus, by the coloration of the body and wing and by the characters of the male genitalia. The description of male of Amazobenna reticulata is also provided and morphology of male and female genitalia of the genus is discussed for the first time.

The Oriental leafhopper genus Caknesia Dworakowska is reported for the first time from China. One new species, C. sichuanensis sp. nov., from Sichuan of China, is described and illustrated; a key to all species, based on the male genitalia, is given. The type specimens are deposited in the collections of the Entomological Museum, Northwest A&F University, Yangling, China.

The genus Sivaloka Distant, 1906 (Hemisphaeriinae, Kodaianellini) is recorded from China for the first time, with two new species Sivaloka arcuata Chang & Chen, sp. nov. (China: Guizhou) and Sivaloka trigona Chang & Chen, sp. nov. (China: Guangxi). One new species of Kodaianella Fennah, 1956, Kodaianella furcata Chang & Chen, sp. nov. (China: Guangxi) is also described and illustrated; female genitalia of two known species in Kodaianella are described. A checklist of species of the tribe Kodaianellini with their distribution and a key to genera are provided.

The Palaearctic species of the genus Trichardis Hermann, 1906 are reviewed. A new species, T. lehri sp. nov., is described. A new synonymy is established: T. leucocoma (van der Wulp, 1899) = T. afanasievae Lehr, 1964, syn. nov. The male of T. mongolica V. Richter, 1972 is described for the first time. External features and the male genitalia of T. lehri sp. nov., T. leucocoma (van der Wulp, 1899) and T. mongolica V. Richter, 1972 are illustrated with photographs.
