Five species of the genus Amemboides Polhemus & Andersen are now known from China. Of these, A. pilifer (Zettel, Yang & Tran, 2007) and A. yunnanus (Zettel, Yang & Tran, 2007) were previously recorded from the country, while A. perlatus (Polhemus & Andersen, 1984) and A. vasarhelyii (Zettel, 1995) are newly recorded from China herein. In addition, A. fasciculatus sp. nov. is described from Yunnan Province. Photographs of the male and female dorsal habitus and male genitalic structures are provided for all five species of Amemboides known from China, and are accompanied by habitat photos and a distribution map.

Abstract Southeastern Asia has been postulated as probably the original sites of genus Haemaphysalis, where numerous structurally advanced haemaphysalids now occur. Because of its phylogenetic and biological interest, we report the discovery of a structurally primitive new species Haemaphysalis (A.) kolonini belonging to subgenus Alloceraea from Baoshan and Weixi cities, Yunnan province, southwestern China. Both the morphological and phylogenic characteristics of the species support congruently to erect Hae. (A.) kolonini as a new species. The male and female adults of Haemaphysalis (A.) kolonini are respectively described and illustrated. Taxonomic discussion and keys to Alloceraea species in China are also provided to be able to distinguish species that are close morphologically.

A new species, Orsodacne yunnanicus Legalov, sp. nov. from Yunnan Province (China) is described and illustrated. The new species is similar to Orsodacne cerasi (Linnaeus, 1758) but differs from it in the coarse punctate pronotum, densely punctate head covered with appressed setae, and the endophalus sac with many minute sclerites. A distribution map for Orsodacne-species from Asia is given.

A new species of elfin blue, Cissatsuma berezowskii Krupitsky sp.n., is described from the northwestern Sichuan Province, China, based on two old museum specimens, a male and a female. The new species differs from the most closely related one, C. albilinea (Riley, 1932), in lack of white band of ventral wing surfaces, broadened blue area of dorsal wing surfaces in female, and morphology of the male and female genitalia. The distribution map of the new species and C. albilinea is provided.
