A new genus of flatid planthoppers (Hemiptera: Fulgoromorpha: Flatidae) is described from the island of Socotra (Yemen): Socoflata gen. nov., for S. aurolineata sp. nov. and S. histrionica sp. nov. (type species). Habitus, male and female external and internal genital structures of the new species are illustrated and diagnosed. Both Socoflata species are abundant and syntopic in the evergreen montane woodland and dwarf shrubland at high elevations in the Hagher mountains in central Socotra and are likely endemics of this area.

AbstractThe new genus Archepandemis, with type-species Parapandemis borealis Freeman, 1965, is described. Two new species, A. coniferana from British Columbia and Alberta and A. morrisana from New Brunswick, are distinguished from A. borealis by characters of maculation and especially of male and female genitalia.

In the fourth part of the revision on the Asian Metarbelidae we describe the new genus Tagoria Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, gen. nov. (type species, by original designation: Arbela watsoni Hampson, 1900). The male and female of Tagoria watsoni (Hampson, 1900) comb. nov. are redescribed, the new species Tagoria dierli Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: Nepal, Rapti Tal, Monahari Khola, Belwa) is described.

The new genus Cincinasura gen. n. is described for the type species Asura synestramena Hampson, 1900. A new species, Cincinasura cyclophora sp. n. is described from the island of Sulawesi (Indonesia). A new combination is established: Cincinasura synestramena (Hampson, 1900), comb. n. Adults together with male and female genitalia of the new and similar genera are illustrated.

The new genus Cabardites gen. n. is erected for the Adites maculata (Poujade, 1886) species-group with Asura limbata Wileman, 1911 as the type species. Four new species are described: Cabardites phifa Volynkin & Černý, sp. n. (North Thailand), C. auco Volynkin & Černý, sp. n. (North Vietnam), C. guanyin Volynkin & Černý, sp. n. (East China), C. tiendung Volynkin & Černý, sp. n. (North Vietnam) and C. varanagara Volynkin & Černý, sp. n. (North Thailand). Cabardites pica (Wileman, 1911), stat. & comb. n. is excluded from the synonymy with C. limbata stat. rev. & comb. n. and raised to the species level. Parasiccia fuscipennis Hampson, 1914 is synonymized with C. pica. Parasiccia karenkonis Matsumura, 1930 is excluded from the synonymy with C. maculata (Poujade, 1886), comb. n. and its belonging to the genus Metaemene Hampson (Erebidae, Boletobiinae) proposed by Poole (1989) is confirmed: Metaemene karenkonis (Matsumura, 1930), comb. rev. A new combination is established: Cabardites maculata (Poujade, 1886), comb. n. The lectotypes are designated for Parasiccia maculata var. formosibia Strand, 1917 and Asura limbata Wileman, 1911. Adults, male and female genitalia of all species of the genus are illustrated.

The new genus Anabelcia gen. n. (Type species Belciana kala Prout, 1924) is separated from the heterogeneous complex called“Belciana” (sensu auctorum) and described here. Four new combinations are introduced by transferring four species to the genus Anabelcia: A. kala (Prout, 1924) (Belciana) comb. n., A. nepalensis (Haruta, 1993) (Belciana) comb. n., stat. rev., A. siitanae (Remm, 1983) (Belciana) comb. n. and A. staudingeri (Leech, 1900) (Polydesma) comb. n. The status of the subspecies Anabelcia kala nepalensis (Haruta, 1993) is is changed, the taxon is upgraded to full species (stat. n.). Two new species, A. thai sp. n. and A. taiwana sp. n. are described. The imagines, male and female genitalia of all species of Anabelcia are illustrated. The checklist of the genus Anabelcia is presented.

The new genus Viridistria gen. n. (type-species Ancara viridipicta Hampson, 1902) is separated and described from the heterogeneous complex “Belciana.” Two new species, Viridistria secreta sp. n. and Viridistria hollowayi sp. n. are described from North Vietnam, Sumatra and Borneo. Three new combinations are introduced: Viridistria thoracica (Moore, 1882) comb. n., Viridistria viridipicta (Hampson, 1902), comb. n. and Viridistria striatovirens (Moore, 1883), comb. n.). The adults, male and female genitalia are illustrated. A checklist of the genus Viridistria is presented.

Neogergithoides gen. nov. is described from China with N. tubercularis sp. nov. as the type species. Morphological structures,male and female genitalia and female internal reproductive organs of the new species are described and illustrated. A key to genera of Hemisphaeriini is provided. The genus is compared to other superficially similar genera.

(type locality: Thailand, Changwat Nan, 20 km N of Bo Luang), Marcopoloia siniaevi Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: Mynmar (Burma), 40 km N Myitkyina, Chanc Kand village), and Marcopoloia thaica Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: Thailand, Changwat Nan, 30 km E of Pua) are described. A new synonym is established: Arbela discipuncta Wileman, 1915, syn. nov. = Arbela baibarana Matsumura, 1927.

The new genus Medionops is proposed for a group of caponiid spiders found in South America and Panama. Nops simla Chickering and Nops cesari Dupérré are transferred to this new genus. Additionally, five new species are described: the type species Medionops blades n. sp. from Colombia; Medionops claudiae n. sp., Medionops murici n. sp. and Medionops ramirezi n. sp. from Brazil; and Medionops tabay n. sp. from Venezuela. All of these species belong to the subfamily Nopinae and have the three membranous translucent modifications found in some other nopine genera. However, in this new genus, the ventral translucent keel on the anterior metatarsi (crista herein) is very short, almost unnoticeable or even absent in some species. The translucent extension of the membrane between the anterior metatarsi and tarsi (gladius herein) retains the same shape, but it is absent in M. murici n. sp. Also, Medionops n. gen. species have an unpaired claw on all tarsi, which is elongate and dorsally reflexed, and is associated with a membranous globose translucent lobe (arolium herein); a structure present only in Nops MacLeay and Nopsides Chamberlin. Beside the characteristics mentioned above, members of this new genus differ from other nopine in the shape of labium and endites and in the conformation of male and female genitalia. The three membranous translucent modifications on legs of some nopine genera are discussed and their terminologies are standardized.

Borneo, ex F. annulata Bl.), Philippines. Included is also Ceratosolen megarhopalus Grandi (1923) from Thailand, Malaya, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Philippines (Balabac Isl.).
