A review of the Mesoamerican genus Paraphlebia Selys in Hagen, 1861 is presented, including diagnoses, illustrations of diagnostic characters, and distribution maps for all species. A key to the known males and females is provided. Eleven new species are described: P. akan Ortega-Salas & González-Soriano. sp. nov., P. chaak Ortega-Salas & González-Soriano sp. nov., P. chiarae Ortega-Salas sp. nov., P. esperanza Ortega-Salas & González-Soriano sp. nov., P. flinti Ortega-Salas & González-Soriano sp. nov., P. hunnal Ortega-Salas & González-Soriano sp. nov., P. itzamna Ortega-Salas, Jocque & González-Soriano sp. nov., P. ixchel Ortega-Salas & González-Soriano sp. nov., P. kauil Ortega-Salas & González-Soriano sp. nov., P. kinich Ortega-Salas & González-Soriano sp. nov., and P. kukulkan Jocque & Ortega-Salas sp. nov.

AbstractThe Oriental genus Letana is fully revised. 22 species are recognised. Male and female abdominal terminalia, the phallus sclerite and the stridulatory apparatus of males are introduced as useful diagnostic characters. Keys for males and females to the species are included. L. brunneri (Krausze, 1904) and L. melanotis Bey-Bienko, 1956 become new synonyms of L. rubescens (StÅl, 1861). Nine new species are described: L. infurcata sp. n., L. bulbosa sp. n., L. megastridula sp. n., L. intermedia sp. n., L. bilobata sp. n., L. magna sp. n., L. digitata sp. n., L. emanueli sp. n., and L. gracilis sp. n. First descriptions are given for the female of L. recticercis Chopard & Dreux and for the male of L. serricauda Ingrisch. The relations between the species are discussed on basis of the phallus sclerite. Faunistic data and distribution maps are added.

AbstractAhnea keejeongi Park and Carlton (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Pselaphinae), a new genus and new species of New Zealand endemic beetle belonging to the supertribe Faronitae is described. Six previously described species are included to this genus and four species are synonymised as follow: Sagola dissonans Broun, 1921 and S. planicula Broun, 1921 under Ahnea ventralis (Broun, 1912); S. carinata Broun, 1912 and S. lineiceps Broun, 1921 under Ahnea lineata (Broun, 1893). A key to species, habitus photographs, line drawings of diagnostic characters, and distribution maps are provided.

Leuctra adjariae sp. n. and Leuctra georgiae sp. n. (Plecoptera: Leuctridae) are described as two new apterous stonefly species from the Meskheti Range (Lesser Caucasus) in southwestern Georgia. Descriptions and illustrations are provided for both sexes and diagnostic characters are discussed. Males and females of the two species are associated by DNA barcodes. Comparisons with corresponding regions of COI between L. adjariae sp. n. and L. georgiae sp. n. produced K2P genetic distances of 8.38%, values well associated with interspecific variation. The well-supported monophyly as well as results of an ABGD analysis confirms the validity of both new species. Capnioneura gouanerae Vinçon & Sivec, 2011, previously described and known only from Turkey, is reported for the first time for the Caucasus.

Abstract—Seven new species of the neotropical genus Microlicia are proposed (Microlicia capitata, M. coriacea, M. mutabilis, M. piranii, M. polychaeta, M. repanda, and M. sparsifolia). All seven species are known only from the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, mainly in the Diamantina Plateau and/or the Serra do Cabral. Diagnoses, line drawings, distribution maps, notes on diagnostic characters, conservation assessments, and habitat and phenology are provided.

Two new genera, Denticulobasis and Tuberculobasis, are described. Denticulobasis contains three species: D. dunklei sp. nov. from Loreto, Peru, and D. garrisoni sp.nov. and D. ariken sp. nov. from Rondônia, Brazil. Tuberculobasis includes 12 spp., all from South America, seven of which are new, viz.: T. arara sp. nov. from Rondônia, Brazil, T. geijskesi sp.nov. from Suriname, T. guarani sp. nov. from São Paulo, Brazil, T. karitiana sp.nov. from Rondônia, Brazil, T. macuxi sp.nov. from Roraima, Brazil, T. tirio sp. nov. from Pará, Brazil, and T. williamsoni sp.nov. from Colombia and Venezuela. Five species are herein transferred from Leptobasis Selys, 1877 to Tuberculobasis: L. cardinalis (Fraser, 1946), L. costalimai Santos, 1957, L. inversa Selys, 1876, L. mammilaris Calvert, 1909, and L. yanomami De Marmels, 1992. The new genera are close to Leptobasis; differences between them are analyzed and their diagnostic characters are described. In addition, diagnostic characters of females of three species of Tuberculobasis, most likely new, are illustrated but they are not named. A key for males and females of Tuberculobasis is provided, and an attempt to understand their life cycle is made.

The subgenus Pterygnophos Wehrli, 1951 within the genus Charissa Curtis, 1826 nomen protectum (= Hyposcotis Hübner, [1825] nomen oblitum) is taxonomically revised based on morphology and DNA barcoding. The subgenus comprises four species in total which are presented in detail. Diagnostic characters are depicted and keys to the species based on the morphology of male and female genitalia are provided. Males and females of each species and their genitalia are illustrated. The distribution of all species is described and figured on a map, and a neighbor joining tree based on DNA barcoding of 17 specimens is presented. Charissa (Pterygnophos) beljaevi spec. nov. from Mongolia is described as new. A neotype for Gnophos creperaria Erschoff, 1877, and lectotypes for Gnophos deliciaria shantungensis Wehrli, 1953, Gnophos dorkadiaria Wehrli, 1922, Gnophos ochrofasciata Staudinger, 1895, and Gnophos finitimaria Fuchs, 1899 are designated. The following synonyms are recognized: Gnophos finitimaria Fuchs, 1899 syn. nov. is a synonym of Gnophos ochrofasciata Staudinger, 1895 and Gnophos deliciaria shantungensis Wehrli, 1953 syn. nov. is a synonym of Gnophos agnitaria Staudinger, 1897.

A new species of the spider genusLoxoscelesHeineken & Lowe, 1832,Loxoscelesmalintzisp. n., is described from the states of Puebla, Morelos and Guerrero, in the central region of Mexico. The description is based on adult males and females with morphological and ultra-morphological images. Updated distribution maps are provided for the 39 species recorded from the Mexican territory (including the new species). The states with the greatest diversity are Baja California Sur, Baja California and Sonora, with five species each. A total of 441 records for the 39 species, based on arachnological collections, data bases and literature, were used to update the distribution maps.LoxoscelesbonetiGertsch, 1958 is the species with the highest number of records in Mexico, with a total of 58 records from different localities. The states with the most records so far are Guerrero, with 55 records, Morelos, with 35 records, and Baja California Sur, with 30 records.Loxoscelesrufescens(Dufour, 1820), an introduced species, is recorded for the second time in Mexico, from the state of Chihuahua, being the first well-documented record for the country. Mexico has the greatest diversity of species ofLoxoscelesworldwide, with 39 (two introduced species) of the 134 described species. Additionally, biogeographical comments for the species from Mexico are provided.

Abstract— The morphology of the Polygala obovata complex, with a taxonomic revision of the current names, was studied, recognizing three new species of Polygala for Brazil. The new species, Polygala capitolensis, P. jardimii, and P. paganuccii, are described, along with their diagnostic characters and notes on taxonomy. Distribution maps and photographic plates, including a comparative morphology, are provided.

The Bothynus entellus (LePeletier & Serville) (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Dynastinae: Pentodontini) species group is reviewed with redescriptions, diagnoses, illustrations, and separate identification keys to males and females. Distribution maps for all species in this species group are presented for the first time. Furthermore, two new species, Bothynus araya Duarte & Grossi new species and Bothynus condacki Duarte & Grossi new species, are described.

Verbascum nihatgoekyigitii sp. nov. (V. sect. Bothrosperma), is described as a new species to science from plants collected in southeastern Anatolia, Turkey. A detailed description, SEM micrographs and an illustration of the type specimen are included, as well as information on the ecology of the species and the IUCN red list assessment are provided. In addition, diagnostic characters of the new species are compared to the morphologically similar V. exuberans, and detailed distribution maps of those species in Turkey are also supplied.
