The Portuguese Population and Housing Census is carried out every 10 years by Statistics Portugal. In the Census 2011, a new tool was developed to assist the Quality Assurance system in order to make the monitoring of fieldwork operations more efficient and thus diminish the uncertainties that could cause coverage error in the results. This tool, named as Map of Alert, presents a three-level typology of alert that ensures advance knowledge of the potential risk of each freguesia’s failure to meet the quality standards defined for the enumeration process. This article describes the methodological process that guided the development of the Map of Alert and presents the Map itself.

This study aims to examine the implementation of the internal quality assurance system (IQAS) at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Indonesia (called UIN Malang). This research uses qualitative methods, data obtained through interviews, document review and observation, and data analysis techniques using interactive analysis models. The results of the research can be concluded as follows: 1) The University established a Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) at the university level, the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) at the Faculty level, Postgraduate Program, Language Development Center, and Ma’had (campus dormitories) and Quality Control Groups (QCG) at the Department/Study Program level. 2) Compiling quality assurance system planning in documents: quality policy, quality manual, quality standards, quality forms, monitoring, measurement and self-evaluation, internal quality audits, and Management Review Meetings (MRM). 3) Applying the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) model which is the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) to produce a cycle of continuous quality improvement. 4) Establish idealized academic service quality standards based on benchmarking results. 5) Ensure the stages of implementation, evaluate and revise quality standards according to benchmarking on an ongoing basis. 6) Establish quality indicators to achieve stakeholder satisfaction, productivity, and efficiency. 7) Internalizing the values ​​and quality culture in the entire campus community. This research produces a strategy for implementing a comprehensive quality assurance system to build UIN Malang as the Center of Excellence and the Center for Islamic Civilization.

Research on quality assurance (QA) over nurturing, caring and educating preschool children is an urgent and crucial issue, especially at private preschools. Using questionnaire survey methods, the study evaluates the situation of ensuring the quality of nurturing and educating children in private preschools regarding the following main aspects: establishing quality standards of child nurturing and education; building a quality assurance system and procedure for preschools’ childcare and education; financial and infrastructure conditions for QA activities to nurture and educate children; the community’s participation into private preschools’ activities; developing a culture of preschools’ childcare and education quality. The research significance lies in the implications from the results to improve QA of nurturing and educating children in private preschools in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The objectives to be achieved through this research are describe the Quality Assurance Model, Formulate the Quality Assurance Model, Describe the inhibiting factors and solution of the Quality assurance system at the Husada Flower Midwifery Academy, the Mahakam Pearl Midwifery Academy and the East Kalimantan Health Polytechnic. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation. Quality document: as an instrument to achieve predetermined standards. Poltekkes Kemenkes East Kalimantan, The implementation of improving the quality assurance system is guided by: quality assurance principles oriented to inputs, processes and outputs. Formulation of Quality Assurance, preparation of quality improvement strategy plans is carried out systematically and structured in each midwifery academy which is oriented towards improving the quality of inputs, processes and outputs, with different strategies. Inhibiting factors and quality assurance system solutions implemented by carrying out: self-evaluation, internal academic quality audits, solutions carried out to determine the achievement of quality standards that have been set and evaluation findings used as material to improve the quality assurance improvement, which is planned, implemented and evaluated carried out implementation control and improvement in accordance with midwifery vocational education standards properly.

Developing and trying to achieve a high quality in the service nursing personnel provide at nursing homes by means of implementing quality assurance systems is a topic of general interest nowadays. These systems have already proved to be effective in other fields. That is why the focus of this study is to analyse the most relevant effects due to the implementation of a quality assurance method based on standard UNE EN ISO 9001:2008 in the nursing service of four nursing homes. An analysis of more than 200 answers of a satisfaction survey about the nursing service at four nursing homes has been carried out. A study on the available bibliography about the results obtained after having implemented a quality assurance system in the nursing service at nursing homes has also been carried out. Very positive results can be appreciated in the daily nursing practice at nursing homes as a consequence of using a quality assurance system. Clinical practice has improved considerably as a consequence. The study shows quality assurance systems to be a useful tool at the service of nursing practice at nursing homes. Positive effects resulting from the implementation of such quality assurance systems are evident as it can be seen from satisfaction surveys and health indicators.
