Organization performance management (OPM) has been the threshold of profit and non-profit organizations for a century. OPM took off in the education arena in the past decades with the call for greater responsibility/accountability for education quality assurance and accreditation (QAA). This chapter proposes a strategic performance management system (SPMS) based on MBNQA/EFQM performance excellence frameworks to assess HEI organizational performance. It demonstrates that leadership is the precursor of HEI performance management in other performance criteria through three case studies in Thailand and Saudi Arabia. The HEI assessment of its processes/results using Process ADLI (approach, deployment, learning, integration) and Results LeTCI (levels, trends, comparisons, integration) shows that organization/infor/human capitals (OC/IC/HC) integration, individual/organization learning, and organization agility are the critical foundations for HEI successful OPM.

The objectives of this research are: 1) improving the skills of teachers and school principals in filling out accreditation instruments as part of the implementation of school/madrasah self-evaluations, 2) measuring awareness of the importance of accreditation as seen from the participation level of SISPENA 3.0 piloting activities, and 3) knowing the evaluation results of implementing the SISPENA 3.0 pilot program. The implemented research design was descriptive mixed-method involving quantitative and qualitative data. The data was gathered through documentation of piloting the SISPENA 3.0 program and interviewing program participants. The participants were 190 schools around Lampung province, Indonesia. The results showed that the program met all of the required objectives, all the schools believed in the importance of the program which resulted in a 100% attendance rate, and the program revealed accreditation problems which were then discussed by BAN, PAUD, and PNF in Lampung to brainstorm appropriate solutions. The research provides the possibility for application of this program in other similar systems. Furthermore, it recommends that both schools and the National Accreditation Board (BAN) should establish education management in accordance with the national standard of education as stated in the accreditation system.

This study aims to identify the role of higher education quality assurance in achieving sustainable development goals. To support this aim, the following objectives were formulated: to discuss and summarize the best practices of QA agencies in promoting SDGs, to identify how Ukrainian universities consider SDGs in their policies, to develop recommendations for internal, and external quality assurance systems regarding SDG achievement. This qualitative study is based on a case study, observation, and questionnaire methods. Ukrainian higher education quality assurance systems are taken as a case study for this article. Primary data are collected through an online questionnaire and observation of Ukrainian universities’ publicly available information regarding sustainable development activities at their official websites. Additionally, some publicly available documents, reports, and materials on the experience of foreign quality assurance agencies are also reviewed, compared, and contrasted. The results of the research can be used at national levels where higher education standards should include competence in sustainable development goals, at institutional level to improve HEIs’ quality assurance system, and at the study program level to include SDG consideration as one of the requirements during internal quality assurance procedures.

Human resources have a very important role in an agency, for that in order for the agency to achieve goals as expected, high employee motivation is needed. Generating a high employee motivation is not easy to implement. Therefore, employees should be given appropriate incentives so that the desired employee motivation can be achieved. The provision of incentives can be done by providing annual bonuses, employee welfare, and promotions. As for the main problem with this research is "does the provision of incentives affect the work motivation of employees at the Office of the Education Quality Assurance Institute (LPMP) Bandar Lampung?" In line with the main problem, the authors propose the hypothesis "There is a positive influence between the provision of incentives on employee motivation at the Office of the Education Quality Assurance Institution (LPMP) Bandar Lampung". In the research that the author did, the research variable was the provision of incentives as the independent variable (X) while employee motivation as the dependent variable (Y). Furthermore, the proposed sample is 26 employees which is 25% of the total population, namely 105 employees. The type of research in this writing is qualitative and quantitative research with the method used is to collect data by means of surveys or field research. While the data collection techniques by means of observation, documentation, interviews and questionnaires. Then to test the hypothesis using qualitative and quantitative analysis which is the type of this writing, with statistical formulas. Quantitative analysis using the product moment formula and obtained: rxy product moment = 0.714. Confused with the level of evenness of the 2 variables being at a high level of closeness, it means that the incentive distribution has a very high relationship with employee performance. To find out the effect of giving incentives on employees' work motivation, using a determinant coefficient with a result of 51%, while other factors 49% were not examined including leadership style, office layout, atmosphere (work climate) of employees. Keywords: incentives, work motivation, Education Quality Assurance Institute

The article presents an analysis of the decisions of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance on the accreditation of educational programs of the following specialities: 017 Physical Culture and Sports, 014 Secondary Education (Physical Culture, Human Health). Considering the significant differences between the previous accreditation procedure carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (until 2019) and the current accreditation procedure carried out by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance the analysis of accreditation cases is particularly relevant. In the course of the research, the analysis of accreditation cases that took place in the period from November 2019 to November 2020 was carried out. It included the assessment of educational programs, curricula, self-assessment documents, reports of the expert groups, conclusions of branch expert council and decisions of the National Agency. Generalized data on the evaluation of educational programs according to individual criteria is presented. The article presents an analysis of the main shortcomings identified in the process of assessing the quality of educational programs at the stage of field accreditation procedure and, at the stage of assessment of the accreditation case by the branch expert council of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance. It is shown that the main reason for the decision of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance on conditional (deferred) accreditation of the educational programs was the presence of significant shortcomings in the structure and content of educational programs, as well as in the processes related to teaching and learning. It was also shown that only half of the educational programs in the field of sports, which passed the accreditation procedure in the period from November 2019 to November 2020 met the requirements for ensuring the quality of the educational process. This indicates that the internal quality assurance systems of Ukrainian higher educational institutions were not ready for the new requirements set by the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance.
