The purpose of our study is to enhance the understanding of relationships between conflict management style, team coordination, and performance in multicultural project team contexts. We investigate how conflict management can contribute to team effectiveness through the mediation of the level of team coordination by collecting data from 126 team leaders and supervisors and 378 members nested in different multicultural projects in the construction industry. Our results show that, contrary to the findings from prior research in other team contexts, an avoiding style of conflict management can have a positive impact on the performance of multicultural project teams.

This study has been designed to evaluate the impact of gamified recruitment on team effectiveness in the telecom sector of Pakistan. The sample of 120 respondents was designed to collect the data. This includes 30 respondents each from 4 telecom sector organizations of Pakistan. 110 responses returned complete feedback which gave the response rate of 91.66%. The results reveal that there is a positive impact of the gamified recruitment on team effectiveness at the telecom sector of Pakistan. As the model fitness is highly appreciated which is 0.850 at alpha is equals to 0.000 while beta is 92.3%. Similarly, the persuasive, economic, and informative value of gamified recruitment has been tested on virtual teams’ dimension of team effectiveness of the telecom sector of Pakistan. The model fitness was found 73% and the values found to be significant and influencing to accept the hypothesis. Moreover, similar results have also been identified after testing the persuasive, economic, and informative value of the gamified recruitment to the physical and project teams’ effectiveness at the telecom sector of Pakistan.

The objective of this paper is to enrich the literature on the entrepreneurial orientation (EO)–performance relationship by introducing innovation success as an antecedent variable. By applying structural equation models, we examine a sample of 356 individuals from five organisations. The main results show that the team leader EO and firm EO are complementary and that they boost innovation success significantly, thereby having an indirect positive impact on the relationship between EO and performance. The mediating effects of innovation success imply that it is an antecedent in the EO–performance relationship at organisational levels, which adds to current theoretical discussions regarding the multilevel applicability of the EO construct. Thus, this study represents an original source for human resource departments that are shaping working groups.

Objective: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the alliance performance of construction companies. A conceptual model is proposed where alliance performance is influenced by a two-dimensional construct composed of the partner fit and conflict management. Methodology: A questionnaire survey was administered to 311 construction companies. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and regression analysis as statistical tools was used to analyze the data and test the hypothesis that alliance performance is impacted by the partner fit and conflict management. Results: The hypothesis was supported by the data and analysis. The research found that partner fit and conflict management have a significant and positive impact on alliance  performance of Indonesian construction companies. Implication: This research presents a conceptually yet empirically supported framework to describe the significance of alliances and network relationships in the construction industry. The study is particularly useful for practitioners by identifying advantages of suitable alliance action among executive and project managers. This paper gives valuable reference to senior manager to consider the adoption of alliance based on selection of partners and conflict management in the construction industry in Indonesia.

With the global concern of environmental protection and sustainability, construction firms are required to develop and implement environmental practices (EP) to mitigate the negative impacts of project activities on the environment. This paper attempts to explore two potential drivers (i.e., government regulations and project team’s knowledge and skills) and performance outcomes (i.e., environmental performance and organizational performance) when the firm implementing EP in construction projects. A survey-based research design was developed to measure the drivers, EP implementation, and performance and to collect data in the Chinese construction industry. Structural equation modelling was used to test the hypothesized relationships. The results indicate that a project team’s knowledge and skills, rather than government regulations, are the key driving factors for the implementation of EP in construction projects. EP implementation is proved to have a positive impact on both environmental and organizational performance. This study provides empirical evidence for project environmental management research and offers managerial insights on how to promote EP in the construction industry.
