In the setting of Hilbert spaces, inspired by Iemoto and Takahashi (2009), we study a Mann’s method with viscosity to approximate strongly (common) fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and a nonspreading mapping. A crucial tool in our results is the nonspreading-average type mapping.

Inspired by the recent work of Takahashi et al. [W. Takahashi, H.-K. Xu and J.-C. Yao, Iterative methods for generalized split feasibility problems in Hilbert spaces, Set-Valued Var. Anal., 23 (2015), 205–221], in this paper, we study generalized split feasibility problems (GSFPs) in the setting of Banach spaces. We propose iterative algorithms to compute the approximate solutions of such problems. The weak convergence of the sequence generated by the proposed algorithms is studied. As applications, we derive some algorithms and convergence results for some problems from nonlinear analysis, namely, split feasibility problems, equilibrium problems, etc. Our results generalize several known results in the literature including the results of Takahashi et al. [W. Takahashi, H.-K. Xu and J.-C. Yao, Iterative methods for generalized split feasibility problems in Hilbert spaces, SetValued Var. Anal., 23 (2015), 205–221].

We introduce and study a new system of generalized nonlinear quasi-variational-like inclusions with H(·,·)-cocoercive operator in Hilbert spaces. We suggest and analyze a class of iterative algorithms for solving the system of generalized nonlinear quasi-variational-like inclusions. An existence theorem of solutions for the system of generalized nonlinear quasi-variational-like inclusions is proved under suitable assumptions which show that the approximate solutions obtained by proposed algorithms converge to the exact solutions.

The Opial property of Hilbert spaces and some other special Banach spaces is a powerful tool in establishing fixed point theorems for nonexpansive and, more generally, nonspreading mappings. Unfortunately, not every Banach space shares the Opial property. However, every Banach space has a similar Bregman-Opial property for Bregman distances. In this paper, using Bregman distances, we introduce the classes of Bregman nonspreading mappings and investigate the Mann and Ishikawa iterations for these mappings. We establish weak and strong convergence theorems for Bregman nonspreading mappings.

Abstract Multipliers have been recently introduced by P. Balazs as operators for Bessel sequences and frames in Hilbert spaces. These are opera- tors that combine (frame-like) analysis, a multiplication with a fixed sequence ( called the symbol) and synthesis. One of the last extensions of frames is weighted and controlled frames that introduced by P.Balazs, J-P. Antoine and A. Grybos to improve the numerical efficiency of iterative algorithms for inverting the frame operator. Also g-frames are the most popular generalization of frames that include almost all of the frame extensions. In this manuscript the concept of the controlled g- frames will be defined and we will show that controlled g-frames are equivalent to g-frames and so the controlled operators C and C' can be used as preconditions in applications. Also the multiplier operator for this family of operators will be introduced and some of its properties will be shown.

We study the widely more generalized hybrid mappings which have been proposed to unify several well-known nonlinear mappings including the nonexpansive mappings, nonspreading mappings, hybrid mappings, and generalized hybrid mappings. Without the convexity assumption, we will establish the existence theorem and mean convergence theorem for attractive point of the widely more generalized hybrid mappings in a Hilbert space. Moreover, we prove a weak convergence theorem of Mann’s type and a strong convergence theorem of Shimizu and Takahashi’s type for such a wide class of nonlinear mappings in a Hilbert space. Our results can be viewed as a generalization of Kocourek, Takahashi and Yao, and Hojo and Takahashi where they studied the generalized hybrid mappings.

The split common fixed points problem for demicontractive operators has been studied in Hilbert spaces. An iterative algorithm is considered and the weak convergence result is given under some mild assumptions.

We prove the strong convergence theorems for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a nonspreading mappingTand the solution sets of zero of a maximal monotone mapping and anα-inverse strongly monotone mapping in a Hilbert space. Manaka and Takahashi (2011) proved weak convergence theorems for maximal monotone operators with nonspreading mappings in a Hilbert space; there we introduced new iterative algorithms and got some strong convergence theorems for maximal monotone operators with nonspreading mappings in a Hilbert space.
