AbstractIn this work, we study an initial value problem for a system of nonlinear parabolic pseudo equations with Caputo fractional derivative. Here, we discuss the continuity which is related to a fractional order derivative. To overcome some of the difficulties of this problem, we need to evaluate the relevant quantities of the Mittag-Leffler function by constants independent of the derivative order. Moreover, we present an example to illustrate the theory.

Abstract We consider a fractional derivative with order varying in time. Then, we derive for it a Leibniz' inequality and an integration by parts formula. We also study an initial value problem with our time variable order fractional derivative and present a regularity result for it, and a study on the asymptotic behavior.

Abstract This paper aims to investigate the class of fifth-order Korteweg–de Vries equations by devising suitable novel hyperbolic and exponential ansatze. The class under consideration is endowed with a time-fractional order derivative defined in the conformable fractional derivative sense. We realize various solitons and solutions of these equations. The fractional behavior of the solutions is studied comprehensively by using 2D and 3D graphs. The results demonstrate that the methods mentioned here are more effective in solving problems in mathematical physics and other branches of science.

In this paper, the half-life values of spherical proton emitters such as Sb , Tm , Lu , Ta , Re , Ir , Au , Tl and Bi have been calculated within the framework of fractional calculus. Nuclear decay equation, related to this phenomenon, has been resolved by using Caputo fractional derivative. The order of fractional derivative μ being considered is 0 < μ ≤ 1, and characterizes the fractality of time. Half-life values have been calculated equivalent with empirical ones. The dependence of fractional derivative order μ on the nuclear structure has also been investigated.

This paper investigates fractional order Barbalat’s lemma and its applications for the stability of fractional order nonlinear systems with Caputo fractional derivative at first. Then, based on the relationship between Caputo fractional derivative and Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative, fractional order Barbalat’s lemma with Riemann-Liouville derivative is derived. Furthermore, according to these results, a set of new formulations of Lyapunov-like lemmas for fractional order nonlinear systems are established. Finally, an example is presented to verify the theoretical results in this paper.
