Social Responsibility initiatives are the indispensible strategies for governance and this applies equally well in the field of Corporate framework also. In the recent times, the corporate houses other than healthcare industry, evidently demonstrated that strategic balance among social, environmental, and commercial goals can be accomplished. Corporate hospitals contemporary functioning rests on the anarchic assumptions that healthcare industry functions on the notion that what is good for patients or society cannot be good for business. At a time when patients are overexposed to medical procedures and medical treatment is within the reach of affordability of only those who are well insured, there arises a question,is it not essential for corporate hospitals to adopt CSR initiatives. An important corollary question, that also needs to be examined, is whether and for what reasons CSR initiatives must be nurtured by Corporate Hospitals. Drawing up from the existing research studies on CSR in corporate hospitals in Indian scenario i.e., corporate hospitals and healthcare sector, this paper (i) undertakes a thorough examination of the CSR initiatives needs a thorough examination, (ii) examines the implications of modelling of CSR in corporate hospitals so as to create a right balance between their social and economic objectives, (iii) to this extent, the paper hypothesizes that (a) employee costs of corporate hospitals may positively increase due to CSR initiatives, (b) profit maximization i.e. positive increases due to CSR initiatives, and (c) the degree of workforce efficiency positively increases sales turnover due to CSR initiatives.

Nowadays healthcare has a completely changed scenario as compared with the early 90’s. As more and more profit generating hospitals are coming in the industry, hospital and healthcare is no longer remains a charitable or philanthropically act. So to be remain in the market and compete within hospitals need to now focus on the different and innovative strategies in every aspect. Supply chain and operations is one of the important key of any organization which directly impact on business and revenue. Vendor Managed inventory is not a new concept but it is not efficiently utilized in service and healthcare industry as of now. Some retail and automobile industries has utilized the concept and also able to reduce the inventory cost with manageable position of stock out and over stocking position. As hospital’s key functioning is to deal with life of patients on day to day so position of material need to be necessarily on right time and right place. This paper is based on the insight of the application of vendor managed inventory in the management of inventory for the IOL (Intra ocular lenses) that is used for the surgeries in the eye hospital. We will also study the questionnaire on the acceptability of the concept of vendor managed inventory in the hospital that will help to assess the acceptability of VMI in hospital and healthcare industry. Also a framework matrix is designed to understand the relation of VMI with the revenue earning and smoothening of operational efficiency.

UNSTRUCTURED The word blockchain elicits thoughts of cryptocurrency much of the time, which does disservice to this disruptive new technology. Agreed, bitcoin launched in 2011 was the first large scale implementation of blockchain technology. Also, Bitcoin’s success has triggered the establishment of nearly 1000 new cryptocurrencies. This again lead to the delusion that the only application of blockchain technology is for the creation of cryptocurrency. However, the blockchain technology is capable of a lot more than just cryptocurrency creation and may support such things as transactions that require personal identification, peer review, elections and other types of democratic decision-making and audit trails. Blockchain exists with real world implementations beyond cryptocurrencies and these solutions deliver powerful benefits to healthcare organizations, bankers, retailers and consumers among others. One of the areas where blockchain technology can be used effectively is healthcare industry. Proper application of this technology in healthcare will not only save billions of money but also will contribute to the growth in research. This review paper briefly defines blockchain and deals in detail the applications of blockchain in various areas particularly in healthcare industry.
