In this paper, a new class called (µ, λ)θ -irresolute functions has been defined with the notion of generalized topology. We obtain some characterizations of such functions and some relations between similar types of functions are established. Some basic properties of such functions are also discussed. Such functions unify different types of weakly irresolute functions by T. Noiri.

This paper deals with the concepts of semi generalized closed sets in strong generalized topological spaces such as $sg^{\star \star}_\mu$-closed set, $sg^{\star \star}_\mu$-open set, $g^{\star \star}_\mu$-closed set, $g^{\star \star}_\mu$-open set and studied some of its basic properties included with $sg^{\star \star}_\mu$-continuous maps, $sg^{\star \star}_\mu$-irresolute maps and $T_\frac{1}{2}$-space in strong generalized topological spaces.

AbstractThe main goal of the presented research was to verify the possibility of obtaining ecological self-compacting concrete of low hardening temperature, containing different types of cements with calcareous fly ash W as main component and the influence of these cements on basic properties of fresh and hardened concrete. Cements CEM II containing calcareous fly ash W make it possible to obtain self-compacting concrete (SCC) with similar initial flowability to analogous mixtures with reference cement CEM I and CEM III/B, and slightly higher, but still acceptable, flowability loss. Properties of hardened concretes with these cements are similar in comparison to CEM I and CEM III concretes. By using cement nonstandard, new generation multi-component cement CEM “X”/A (S-W), self-compacting concrete was obtained with good workability and properties in hardened state.

Abstract Based on the unified theory of tubesheet (TS) design for fixed TS heat exchangers (HEX), floating head and U-tube HEX presented in Part I and Part II, theoretical and numerical comparisons with ASME method are performed in this paper as Part III. Theoretical comparison shows that ASME method can be obtained from the special case of the simplified mechanical model of the unified theory. Numerical Comparison results indicate that predictions given by the unified theory agree well with finite element analysis (FEA), while ASME results are not accurate or not correct. Therefore, it is concluded that the unified theory deals with different types of HEX in equal detail with confidence to predict design stresses.

AbstractIn this paper we introduce and study a new class of sets, namely γ−countably paracompact sets. We characterize γ−countably paracompact sets and we study some of its basic properties. We obtain that this class of sets is weaker than α−countably paracompact sets and stronger than β−countably paracompact sets.

SUMMARYDeveloping 6-DOF isotropic manipulators using isotropic generators is simple and efficient, and isotropic generators can be employed to develop serial, redundant, or parallel isotropic manipulators. An isotropic generator consists of a reference point and six straight lines. The existing generators, however, have one common geometric constraint: the reference point is equidistant from the six straight lines. Some practical isotropic designs might not be obtained due to this constraint. This paper proposes methods for developing new isotropic generators. The generators thus developed are not subject to the constraint, and the new methods allow us to specify the location of the tool center point, the size of the platform or the base, or the shape of isotropic parallel manipulators. Many new generators are presented to develop 6-DOF parallel manipulators with different shapes or different types of kinematic chains.

Most of the multivariate counting processes studied in the literature are regular processes, which implies, ignoring the types of the events, the non-occurrence of multiple events. However, in practice, several different types of events may occur simultaneously. In this paper, a new class of multivariate counting processes which allow simultaneous occurrences of multiple types of events is suggested and its stochastic properties are studied. For the modeling of such kind of process, we rely on the tool of superposition of seed counting processes. It will be shown that the stochastic properties of the proposed class of multivariate counting processes are explicitly expressed. Furthermore, the marginal processes are also explicitly obtained. We analyze the multivariate dependence structure of the proposed class of counting processes.

Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) is a new class of endogenous molecules identified in recent years. Studies on the cancer transcriptome have identified a number of lncRNAs with distinct expression patterns in different types of cancer, indicating that this populous group of molecules can modulate cancer progression. In addition, advances in revealing the molecular principles of cancer-associated lncRNAs made them amenable for therapeutic intervention. Although more than 50,000 lncRNAs have been identified, their functions in cellular homeostasis and pathophysiological processes remain largely uncharacterized. In this review, we summarize cancer-related lncRNAs that have been identified in recent years and discuss their mechanistic roles as oncogenes or tumor suppressors. These findings provide insights into clinical application of lncRNAs as biomarkers or therapeutic targets.

AbstractA new class of functions called ‘quasi cl-supercontinuous functions’ is introduced. Basic properties of quasi cl-supercontinuous functions are studied and their place in the hierarchy of variants of continuity that already exist in the mathematical literature is elaborated. The notion of quasi cl-supercontinuity, in general, is independent of continuity but coincides with cl-supercontinuity (≡ clopen continuity) (Applied General Topology 8(2) (2007), 293–300; Indian J. Pure Appl. Math. 14(6) (1983), 767–772), a significantly strong form of continuity, if range is a regular space. The class of quasi cl-supercontinuous functions properly contains each of the classes of (i) quasi perfectly continuous functions and (ii) almost cl-supercontinuous functions; and is strictly contained in the class of quasi

A nonzero fuzzy open set () of a fuzzy topological space is said to be fuzzy minimal open (resp. fuzzy maximal open) set if any fuzzy open set which is contained (resp. contains) in is either or itself (resp. either or itself). In this note, a new class of sets called fuzzy minimal open sets and fuzzy maximal open sets in fuzzy topological spaces are introduced and studied which are subclasses of open sets. Some basic properties and characterization theorems are also to be investigated.
